  • Patent number: 9731548
Abstract: A wheel rim retainer includes an annular unit, a first end connecting member movably coupled at one end of the annular unit, and a second end connecting member movably coupled at an opposed end of the annular unit. The annular unit includes a plurality of hinged members movably coupled with each other in an edge-to-edge manner, wherein each of the hinged members has a width larger than a width of the wheel well. The second end connecting member is detachably coupled with the first end connecting member for encircling the hinged members around a hub surface of a wheel rim to cover a wheel well thereof so as to prevent a bead of a tire falling at the wheel rim when the tire is deflated.

  • Patent number: 9724960
Abstract: In a step of forming a fixing groove for a wheel disk (20), an inner circumferential end of a first hub hole peripheral portion (41) is squeezed by a protruding portion (D21) of a back die (D2) and a dent portion (D31) of a front die (D3). In this manner, a fixing groove (50) is formed in a back surface of the first hub hole peripheral portion (41). Along with this, an excess material is pushed into the dent portion (D31) so that a protrusion (51) is formed on a front surface of the first hub hole peripheral portion (41). Thus, without requiring a step of cutting the excess material, the fixing groove (50) can be formed in a back surface of a hub hole peripheral portion (30).

  • Patent number: 9676232
Abstract: A wheel hub (1) having a radially extending wheel flange (17) which has fastening holes (3), having a cylindrical projection which extends from the wheel flange (17) axially on the vehicle side and which serves for at least partially receiving a rolling bearing, and having a centering device which is mounted axially on the wheel side. A high rigidity of the wheel hub (1) and/or of the wheel bearing unit is realized with little material usage. One possibility arises by the centering device of a wheel hub being regarded as the product of the compromise between rigidity and possible material removal. In this regard, a particular arrangement of the webs that form the centering device is provided which leads to a particularly advantageous solution, specifically by virtue of the webs (7) being oriented in the same radial direction (A, B) as the fastening holes (3) of the wheel flange (17).
