Abstract: A method of sharing an item from an external resource comprises displaying a user interface for the external resource in a messaging application and navigating within the external resource based on user input received in the user interface presented in the messaging application. Upon receipt of selection of an item or state within the external resource based on user input, the identity of one or more recipients is obtained. Information representing the item or state is then transmitted to a device of at least one recipient and information representing the item or state is displayed in a chat interface of a messaging application running on a device of the recipient(s).

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes: receiving, by a computing device, information indicative of user interface (UI) elements of an application and inputs received by the UI elements; identifying, by the computing device, a feature of the application based on the received information; generating, by the computing device, a direct link to the feature by determining, from the received information, one or more of the UI elements that received inputs to navigate to the feature; and providing, by the computing device, the direct link to one or more users of the application, wherein in response to an input received on the direct link, the direct link interacts with the one or more UI elements to navigate to the application feature.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium has instructions executed by a processor to specify a group of collaborators. Each collaborator in the group of collaborators is polled for window information for each window to be shared among the collaborators in a composite window collection. The window information includes end user device attributes for each collaborator and window metadata for each window to be shared among the collaborators in the composite window collection. Required parameters are calculated for each window to be shared among the collaborators in the composite window collection. The required parameters include window visibility criteria in the composite window collection. Sending clients in the group of collaborators are instructed on required parameters for each window to be shared among the collaborators in the composite window collection.

Abstract: Systems and methods relate to sharing content and data across users and devices. A shared folios include media primitives and tools as its constituents. The use of shared folios addresses an issue of reliably and efficiently transfer user activities with data. The use addresses scenarios of both single-user work utilizing multiple devices and collaborative work among users utilizing multiple devices. The media primitive includes content in various data types. The tool include data and access to the data by devices and applications. A data distributor manages automatic synchronization of the folios across devices using centralized and distributed transaction logs The folios are synchronized with resiliency against failure in client devices. The folio and its constituents are interactively accessible through top-level, semi-transparent user interface. The media primitive and the tools may programmatically access local applications to automatically transfer user activities among users and devices.

Abstract: A communication system and related methods are described. The communication system includes a communication server computer and multiple user computers. The communication server computer maintains synchronization of multiple copies of a graphical user interface (“GUI”) presented by the multiple user computers. The GUI implements a multi-user, digital communication environment and includes a chat area where communications are organized by time and a document editing area where communications are organized by subject. The GUI enables integration of the chat area and the document editing area and allows users to communicate across multiple communication modalities seamlessly and in real time.

Abstract: The present application provides a display device, including: a display configured to display a user interface including view display areas and a focus object, wherein each view display area includes one or more items; a memory configured to store computer instructions; and a processor configured to execute computer instructions to cause the display device to perform operations. The operations include: displaying the user interface on the display; receiving a user input for moving the focus object; and moving a target item to a position where the focus object is; where in response to a number of the one or more items in the view display area being greater than a maximum number of items displayable on a screen of the display, the one or more items are displayed in a fixed focus cycling mode; and otherwise, the one or more items are displayed in a fixed focus non-cycling mode.

Abstract: An electronic device and method for operating an electronic device are provided. A user input is received to edit at least one object. A first page and a plurality of thumbnail images are displayed. A drag input is detected on an object. When the drag input is directed toward a first area, the object is displayed in the first area and a representation of a first thumbnail image is changed to correspond to the object displayed in the first area. When the drag input is directed toward a second area, the object is moved to the second page, the representation of the first thumbnail image is changed to correspond to moving the object to the second page, and a representation of a second thumbnail image is changed to correspond to moving the object to the second page.

Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering VR content at a VR rendering device include identifying, by a content facilitator, that that first content presented via a first device to a user includes metadata indicating availability of second content. The second content includes at least one of a three-dimensional (3D) video, 360° image, or virtual reality (VR) content. The content facilitator provides an interface element to the user at the first device responsive to the metadata indicating availability of the second content. The content facilitator receives a user selection of the interface element. The content facilitator provides access to the second content via a VR rendering device for the user responsive to the user selection. The VR rendering device is configured to render the second content.

Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display concurrently displays a first application user interface on a first portion of the display, and a second application user interface on a second portion of the display. The device detects a first input including movement in a first direction. In response, the device, when the first input meets first criteria, replaces display of the first and second user interfaces with a full-screen home screen, and when the first input meets second criteria, and started in a first edge region, replaces display of the first application user interface with a first replacement user interface while maintaining display of the second application user interface, and when the first input meets the second criteria, and started in a second edge region, replaces display of the second application user interface with a second replacement user interface while maintaining display of the first application user interface.

To support audio menu navigation and option selection via display device, a communication connection between an automated voice menu system and a user device is established, one or more option selections corresponding to a menu of options are determined, a user interface including an arrangement of elements corresponding to the one or more option selections is generated at the user device, an input from a user is received via the user interface, and a response is transmitted from the user device to the automated voice menu system via the communication connection based at least in part on the received input from the user, wherein the response is responsive to the audio feedback and indicates a selection of the subset of the determined one or more option selections.

Abstract: A system and a method for creating an optimized actionable interface for data access and visualization is provided. Different types of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) data associated with enterprise data is analyzed for determining one or more key metrics and KPIs data and identifying a causal attribution data between the key metrics and KPIs data for determining effect of change of one key metric and KPI data on another key metric and KPI data. Further, one or more widgets are generated based on the analyzed metrics and KPIs data. Further, a unified user interface (UI) is generated for visualization of the widgets. Lastly, an end-user activity on the unified UI is tracked based on one or more tags embedded in the unified UI. The tags capture the end-user clicks and actions on the unified UI.

Abstract: The present technology provide a mechanism for displaying and initiating actions and workflows for objects with a single drag-and-drop operation in association with a content management system. Drag operations may be monitored to trigger monitoring of a pointer performing the drag operation to detect whether the pointer is within a threshold distance from a chosen aspect, such as a system tray icon, and/or an area of a temporary invisible window. Upon detection, the drag operation of the objects may seamlessly trigger a presentation of a menu window. The menu window may display one or more icons representing different actions and workflows for which the object may be dropped, via a drop operation, upon to indicate a selection.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for generating a customizable communication space, comprising one or more customized chat spaces, in which two or more communication devices participate. A computer coupled with a database and comprising a processor and memory generates a customizable communication space and transmits requests to join the customizable communication space to the two or more communication devices. The computer stores in memory identification information for each of the two or more communication devices. The computer configures, in response to instructions transmitted by one of the two or more communication devices, a customized chat space. The computer transmits the customized chat space to the two or more communication devices and stores in the computer memory communications transmitted by the communication devices within the customized chat space.

Visualized units are scheduled for display for a time period and rendered on the display for the time period. The visualized units can be shared according to user preferences, picked according to a user selection into personal, shareable sets of visualized units. Abstract: A system and method provides for multi-party communication including engaging a network communication engine from a mobile communication interface and providing a user identification and a location indicator to the network communication engine. The method involves: providing a three-dimensional control menu, which comprises a plurality of menu items selectable by the practitioner by one or more gestures made in a volumetric spatial region corresponding to the menu item; displaying an interaction display unit (IDU) image corresponding to the three-dimensional control menu to provide indicia of any selected menu items; estimating a line of sight of a practitioner; and when the estimated line of sight is directed within a first spatial range around a first medical equipment device, determining that the practitioner is looking at the first medical equipment device. Then the method involves providing a first device-specific three-dimensional control menu displaying a first device-specific IDU image.
