Abstract: Kappa-caseino-glycomacropeptide (CGMP) is industrially produced from a whey product concentrated in proteins partly freed from lactose by selective precipitation of the residual whey proteins with ethanol from the supernatant collected after separation of the flocculate obtained by heat treatment in acidic medium.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the discontinuous burning off of carbon deposited on the heat-resistant exhaust gas filter of an internal combustion engine, particularly a diesel internal combustion engine. At least one metal must be present during this process. The problem of ensuring the combustion of the carbon at the minimum temperature and of achieving a long filter life, is solved in a particularly advantageous manner through the use of an organic complexing agent able to form a complex with the metal and/or an organo-metallic complex compound of the metal with the organic complexing agent. The invention also relates to an apparatus for performing the inventive process. For this purpose, the exhaust gas filter preferably has at least two, at least temporarily separately operable filter units.

Abstract: New activated palladium zirconium oxide catalysts on the basis of amorphous or crystallized alloys as well as new palladium zirconium oxide precipitation catalysts. The new catalysts are suitable for totally oxidizing carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons.
Abstract: A process for the hydrometallurgical recovery of metal value, particularly copper, from copper-containing sulphide materials in which the material is conventionally ground and reacted with a solution containing less than 3 moles per liter of chloride ion, and optionally as little as 15 g/liter, together with sulphate ions with continuous oxygen injection and vigerous agitation. The reacting may be carried out at a pH in the range of 0.5-4, at moderate pressure as low as atmospheric pressure and at a moderate temperature below the boiling point of the solution such as 85.degree. C.
Abstract: Aluminum zirconium hydroxy halide glycinate complex and a method of its preparation is disclosed having an empirical formula:Al.sub.2 (OH).sub.6-y.sup.X.sub.y ZrO(OH).sub.x Cl.sub.2-x /Neutral Amino Acidwherein x has a numerical value of 0 to 1.5, y has a numerical value of 0.7 to 3.0, X is chlorine, bromine or iodine, and whose polymer distribution as characterized by a size exclusion chromatograph is:(a) a peak height ratio of peak 4 to peak 3 of 0.5 to 1.8:1, and(b) peaks (1+2) contain less than 4% of the polymer distribution by weight.
