  • Patent number: 11319185
Abstract: An elevator system has a central control unit for generating control signals and/or processing sensor signals and controlling functions of the system, a plurality of field devices distributed inside a structure accommodating the system, preferably along an elevator shaft, and a field bus system for interchanging the signals between the control unit and the field devices. Each field device outputs sensor signals generated by a sensor and/or receives control signals to be implemented by an actuator. Data packets including the signals are interchanged in a serial manner between the control unit and all field devices in a summation frame method using a closed ring topology. Each field device has a driver to insert the sensor signals into the data packet or to remove the control signals from the data packet. Data and signal transmission is thereby carried out quickly and safely in a safety circuit of the elevator system.

  • Patent number: 11305966
Abstract: A method and a correspondingly configured device detect damage or defects in a support, including at least one tension member, for an elevator system. A pulse generator generates at least one electrical digital input signal that represents at least one first binary number and is fed to the tension member. After the digital input signal has passed through the tension member, it is detected as a digital output signal that likewise represents at least one second binary number. The second binary number is then compared, in particular compared digit by digit or bit by bit, with a setpoint binary number and/or directly with the first binary number. Damage in the tension member is determined on the basis of an issued comparison result. If the second binary number deviates from the setpoint binary number and/or from the first binary number, a fault message is generated.

  • Patent number: 11299373
Abstract: A blocking assembly for a leaf of an elevator door includes a translation guide, a first leaf carriage mounted slidably to the translation guide between a first position and a second position, a latch connected to the translation guide and rotatable between a blocking configuration of the first leaf carriage in an intermediate position wherein the latch intercepts and blocks the carriage against the guide, and a configuration for releasing the carriage wherein the carriage is free to slide to the second position, latch return in the blocking configuration, and first coupling connected to the first leaf carriage and to the latch. When the carriage is in the first position, the first coupling is coupled together to keep the latch in the release configuration, in contrast to the action of the return. When the carriage is in the intermediate position, the first coupling is uncoupled so that the latch is moved by the return into the blocking configuration.

  • Patent number: 11295715
Abstract: Techniques for automatically controlling the expressive behavior of a virtual musical instrument by analyzing an audio recording of a live musician are provided. In some embodiments, an audio recording may be analyzed at various points along the timeline of the recording to derive corresponding values of a parameter that is in some way representative of the musical expression of the live musician. Values of control parameters that control one or more aspects of the audio playback of a virtual instrument may then be generated based on the determined values of the expression parameter. Values of control parameters may be provided to a sample library to control how a digital score selects and/or plays back samples from the library, and/or values of the control parameters may be stored with the digital score for subsequent playback.
