  • Patent number: 6288172
Abstract: A light diffusing adhesive comprising a mixture of a pressure-sensitive adhesive matrix having a refractive index of n1 filled with organic, polymeric microparticles having a refractive index n2, wherein the absolute difference in the refractive indices of matrix and microparticles, that is, |n1-n2| is greater than zero and typically in the range of 0.01 to 0.2. The weight ratio of matrix to microparticles, based on solids, is from about 1:1 to about 50:1, preferably from about 4:1 to about 25:1.

  • Patent number: 5587414
Abstract: Compatibilizing agent being the reaction product of an organic mono- or polyfunctional isocyanate and a compound corresponding to the following general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 (same or different) represent O or S; n and n' (same or different) represent an integer of from 0 to 1, R and R' (same or different) represent an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical containing from 1 to 30 carbon atoms and wherein the sum of the total number of carbon atoms of R and R' is between 7 and 40, and its use for improving the release performance of metal carboxylate containing polyisocyanate compositions for woodbinding.
