  • Patent number: 11269946
Abstract: A machine may form all or part of a network-based system configured to provide media service to one or more user devices. The machine may be configured to define a station library within a larger collection of media files. In particular, the machine may access metadata that describes a seed that forms the basis on which the station library is to be defined. The machine may determine a genre composition for the station library based on the metadata. The machine may generate a list of media files from the metadata based on a relevance of each media file to the station library. The machine may determine the relevance of each media file based on a similarity of the media file to the genre composition of the station library as well as a comparison of metadata describing the media file to the accessed metadata that describes the seed.

  • Patent number: 11249965
Abstract: Character string analysis and classification can be useful in a variety of contexts, including examining web URLs to determine whether a URL indicates that a user is attempting to take a particular action on an electronic service platform. In some cases, however, URLs or other string data may have “noise” in them, such as random sub-strings, that prevents a string from being properly classified. Sometimes it may be useful to classify a string into a category, however, and it may be important to do this quickly (e.g. during an active user interaction with a website). Learning tables allowing for O(1) lookup can be established by tokenizing strings and then using probability analysis to eliminate tokens that appear an insufficient number of times. This allows for quick and accurate string classification, which may be useful in numerous circumstances.

  • Patent number: 11194765
Abstract: An overlay optimizer can be configured to accelerate the moving of files from an overlay and to atomically move files from the overlay. To accelerate the moving of files from the overlay, the overlay optimizer can continuously monitor the consumption of the overlay. If the consumption exceeds an optimized threshold, the overlay optimizer can cause the file system cache to be invalidated to thereby release handles to any closed files that are still cached. To move files atomically from the overlay, the overlay optimizer can be configured to handle attempts to open a file by determining whether the file is in the process of being moved from the overlay. If so, the overlay optimizer can detect which stage the move process has reached and can dynamically adapt the move process to enable the attempt to open the file to be completed successfully and in a consistent manner.

  • Patent number: 11157527
Abstract: A system may receive a sensor dataset representing an environment and use the dataset to create or update a map. In creating or updating the map, the system may determine an object classification of one or more detected objects and only selectively incorporate data into the map based at least in part on the classification. The map may be associated with the classification (or semantic) information of the objects, as well as weights based on the classification. Similarly, datasets with selected classes of data removed may be used for system localization. Further, the system may determine an object track of the objects. When updating the map, voxels in a voxel space may indicate an occupied voxel based on a threshold number of observances. The object track and clean map can then be used for controlling an autonomous vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11074247
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for managing reads and writes to a sorted list of parameter values held in a write subsystem. Each parameter value is changeable and associated with a user. A read subsystem holds a persistent copy of the parameter values, which may be inconsistent with the write system values due to pending updates of one or more of the parameter values in the write subsystem. The system batch updates parameter values to the persistent copy from the write subsystem, but in the event of a read request, (1) the system determines whether the requested parameter value is inconsistent with the persistent copy; and (2) if so, produces a real-time update of the requested parameter value in the persistent copy without waiting for a batched update for the requested parameter value.
