  • Patent number: 11785935
Abstract: An electromechanical trap for small animals having a container attached to a module whose upper side is a swing frame which includes a solar panel. The module includes a tunnel with an open end and an access to let the animals to be caught enter and the floor includes a first fixed part, a second part, which has a missing section which coincides with the cutting on the module floor and a third fixed part where there is an appropriate vessel for the bait. First part and missing section of the second part have a tilting lamina as of at least an axis connected to the side ends of the tunnel. The tunnel has several sensors which generate a beam whose interruption sends a signal captured by the microprocessor enabling a single exit, energizing the coil which, during a programmed time equals the polarity of the permanent magnet freeing the lamina whose end, as the result of the animal weight, goes violently down tilting over the axis and lifting the opposite end in an equal or higher angle of 45 degrees.

  • Patent number: 11771079
Abstract: Embodiments of a tree stand for mounting to a tree trunk are disclosed. The tree stand includes a platform and a pair of oppositely disposed arms. The pair of oppositely disposed arms are configured to grip the tree trunk in a closed position and are separable to release the tree trunk in an open position. The platform is connected to the pair of oppositely arms so that the platform is mountable to the tree trunk when the pair of oppositely disposed arms grip the tree trunk in the closed position. The arms thus make it much easier to mount the tree stand and increase the stability and safety of the tree stand.

  • Patent number: 11751534
Abstract: An animal head gate includes head gate doors each having a squeeze bar to trap the neck mounted between upper and lower rails. Adjustment of the spacing between the bars uses an eccentric crank operated by lever which cooperates with two manual latches on a rail at maximum and minimum spacing. A neck sweep bar is mounted on one gate and movable from a retracted position to a position forward of the squeeze bar across the head gate so as to engage the neck of the animal in front of the squeeze bar and to turn the neck and head. The head gate is held closed by front and rear abutment members each of which is formed as a roller which rotates to reduce friction under load. Each gate includes an upstanding torsion bar which twists when forces are applied to the squeeze bars from impact with the animal.

  • Patent number: 11737437
Abstract: An apparatus that secures the buoy line and buoy to the top of the shellfish trap in an orderly manner until a galvanic timed release (GTR) coupling parts and releases the buoy to the sea surface. The GTR is a highly corrosive anode link which breaks after a predetermined period of immersion in seawater. After the GTR link breaks, the apparatus automatically releases the buoy. The unrestrained buoy rises to the surface so that the trap may be recovered. Until this time, marine mammals are protected from entanglement in the vertical buoy line. It is important that the buoy and, perhaps more importantly, the line associated with it, are packaged in a way to prevent fouling of the buoy lines. By design, the apparatus prevents the fouling of the buoy line that would result in the possible loss of the entire gear set.

  • Patent number: 11724801
Abstract: An aircraft includes an airframe having a fixed-wing section and a plurality of articulated electric rotors, at least some of which are variable-position rotors having different operating configurations based on rotor position. A first operating configuration is a vertical-flight configuration in which the rotors generate primarily vertical thrust for vertical flight, and a second operating configuration is a horizontal-flight configuration in which the rotors generate primarily horizontal thrust for horizontal fixed-wing flight. Control circuitry independently controls rotor thrust and rotor orientation of the variable-position rotors to provide thrust-vectoring maneuvering. The fixed-wing section may employ removable wing panels so the aircraft can be deployed both in fixed-wing and rotorcraft configurations for different missions.
