  • Patent number: 7754781
Abstract: An active energy beam-curable composition is provided, which is excellent in coatability to films and safety, and particularly suitable for use in a light diffusion film since a light diffusion film made of a cured product of the composition is excellent in both haze and total light transmittance. The active energy beam-curable composition comprises an ethylenically unsaturated group-containing compound (A) that contains, as an essential component thereof, a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group and an aromatic group, and a granular substance (B) that is insoluble in the component (A), in which the subtraction of the refractive index of the component (B) from the refractive index of a cured product of the component (A) alone is not less than 0.03 and not more than 0.18.

  • Patent number: 7718713
Abstract: A method of manufacturing super-absorbent polymer (SAP) which is powdery, insoluble in water, and able to absorb water, blood and urine with slight soluble substances. The method includes at least the following steps: mixing a monomer solution having at least 50 mol % of neutralized acrylic acid with polymerization initiators to synthesize a sticky precursor, wherein the monomer can be selected from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-propane sulfonic acid, or the mixtures thereof; mixing high hydrophilic epoxy compounds and polymerization initiators with the precursor and producing a gel via UV cross-linking; drying the gel at temperature of 100 to 250° C. to obtain a polymer; grinding and screening the polymer into constant particle size; coating the polymer with surface cross-linking agents; heating the polymer at temperature of 80 to 230° C.; and adding powdery inert inorganic salts into the polymer.

  • Patent number: 7678842
Abstract: Provided is a radiation-curable silicone rubber composition comprising: (A) a specific organopolysiloxane, which at each molecular chain terminal contains two or three silicon-containing groups that each contain a plurality of (from 2 to 9) (meth)acryloyl groups (in other words, a specific organopolysiloxane containing from 8 to 54 (meth)acryloyl groups within each molecule); and (B) a radiation sensitizer. The composition cures easily and favorably upon irradiation with low intensity, low energy radiation, and in particular upon irradiation with ultraviolet light emitted from a UV-LED light source. A cured coating generated from the composition rapidly develops favorable adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, and provides excellent corrosion prevention for the substrate, even under severe conditions.
