    Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for mitigating pointing errors resulting from satellite antennas. Reports are received from terminals in a beam hopping satellite communication system, and a pointing error associated with a satellite antenna is determined. The best beam for communicating with each terminal is selected based on the pointing error. A beam list containing the instantaneous traffic demand of terminals for each beam in the system is generated. An active beam set is then selected from the beam list for transmitting data during the next hop in the satellite communication system.

The channels are different and include an out-of-band channel (140). Proof of possession of a non-SI private key is provided to the SI device via the first or the second communication channel. From the SI device, security data is received that is related to the SI and is computed using the non-SI public key. The security data reliably enables the non-SI device to access the core network via the local network and a gateway between the local network and the core network.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are non-limiting examples of voltage generators that use multiple charge pumps coupled in series to generate a targeted voltage. The charge pumps implement multiple charge pump units that reduce the introduction of noise into a circuit in which they are implemented. The charge pumps units work in parallel on different clock phases to reduce spurious noise. This is in contrast to using a single charge pump with a relatively large flying capacitor or a plurality of charge pumps in series. This can, for example, reduce spurious signals or spurs that arise due at least in part to the characteristics of the clock signal. The disclosed technologies may be particularly advantageous for SOI-based components and circuits.
