  • Patent number: 11457622
Abstract: A motion sensing rodent killing apparatus includes a housing that has a bottom wall and a perimeter wall. The perimeter wall includes a front wall. A motion sensor is directed outwardly away from the front wall. A ram is mounted on the housing and is movable toward or away from the front wall. A driving system is mounted to the housing and is engaged with the ram. The driving system retains the ram in a set position having the panel positioned adjacent to the front wall. When the motion sensor detects motion, the driving system drives the panel away from the housing to a deployed position with sufficient force such that a rodent positioned between the panel and a facing surface is killed by the panel.

  • Patent number: 11457618
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing a fishing rod and reel assembly with an easily adjustable rod balance adjustment. The system includes a fishing rod having a handle section. Positioned adjacent to the handle section is a reel seat body section along which a reel seat frame may securely hold a reel at substantially any position along the reel seat body section to achieve the desired rod balance. Also, the system and method include being able to securely mount and hold a reel to the rod at any position along the reel seat body to achieve any desired balance point location. Thus, a fisher may change reels, spools, line weights, bait, lures or the like and quickly rebalance the rod and reel assembly for an optimal fishing experience.

  • Patent number: 11445708
Abstract: A floating plant (8) comprises a container (1) and a mooring element (2) provided with respective guide elements (10, 13). The guide elements have a mutual complementary shape such that the container (1) and the mooring element (2) may move freely with respect to each other in directions that coincide with the container central axis (CL). A plurality of elongated buoyancy elements (10) are arranged on the container outside and arranged between the container bottom end (17) and the container upper end (18), preferably parallel with the container central axis (CL). The container may be transported to the installation site, floating in the water and stabilized by means of the buoyancy elements (10). The mooring element (2) may be transported to the installation site, either in one piece or on several pieces (2a, 2b), and mounted such that it surrounds a portion of the container. The container is raised and lowered in the body of water by controlling the amount of water in the container.

  • Patent number: 11412715
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel queen monitoring cage system comprising a housing having a plurality of holes to provide ventilation, at least one egg laying plate, serving as an inner wall of the cage. The egg laying plate includes a plurality of hexagonal cells, and one or more ports to allow materials to be added to the housing. Additional embodiments of the system provides a removable drawer for the insertion and removal of bees, and inserts to prevent escape of bees while egg laying plates are added and removed. Experimental results show that the queen monitoring cage can be used to study queen egg laying behavior under laboratory controlled conditions.

  • Patent number: 11344022
Abstract: Plant eradication and stressing of plants using illumination signaling where a short-time dual component, low energy, unnatural set of irradiances is applied, with no mutagenic or high radiative energy transfers in any wavelength for eradication by substantial high temperature thermally-induced leaf and plant component failure or incineration. An Indigo Region Illumination Distribution of wavelength 300 nm to 550 nm is directed to plant foliage and/or a plant root crown, while infrared radiation that is substantially Medium Wavelength Infrared radiation of 2-20 microns wavelength, 2.4-8.0 microns preferred, is directed to a plant root crown and/or soil immediately adjacent the root crown. The Indigo Region Illumination Distribution can pass through the MWIR emitter to form a compact illuminator. The MWIR emitter can comprise borosilicate glass at 400° F. to 1000° F.

  • Patent number: 11337414
Abstract: An insect trap and a method of using the same. The insect trap includes a housing. The insect trap also includes a glue board receiving space located inside the housing. The insect trap further includes one or more light sources for attracting insects into the housing. The insect trap also includes a camera having a lens. The lens has a front element. The camera is positioned to capture images of a glue board when the glue board is received in the glue board receiving space. There is no line of sight between the or each light source and the front element of the lens. This may prevent light from the or each light source reaching the front element directly. The method can include using an image captured by the camera to determine that a glue board received in the glue board receiving space needs to be replaced.
