    Abstract: A device suitable for use in a transport vehicle of able people and/or people in a wheelchair is described. The device includes a foot support with a foot attachment for attachment to a vehicle floor and a rigid arm having a shoulder end and a foot end. The rigid arm is connected near the foot end to the foot support. The system also includes a safety-belt system including a safety-belt and safety-belt attachment. The safety-belt attachment has a first attachment point with belt-guiding situated near the shoulder end of the rigid arm. The rigid arm is attached to the foot support by one or more arm hinges. The rigid arm is capable of rotating around the arm hinges. In addition, a foldable chair may be mounted on the foot support. The foot support may be connected with the vehicle floor using a connector which fits in a rail in the floor.

    Abstract: A space adjustment mechanism for a chair includes a seat base unit, a backrest sliding unit and an angular cross linking unit. The seat base unit has a body portion for accommodating an occupant sitting thereupon, and a shaft extending downward from the body portion. The backrest sliding unit has a backrest connected with a slidable rack which is slidably engaged with the body portion and formed with a pair of tubular sections. The angular cross linking unit has a first extending member for telescopically engaged with the shaft, and a pair of second extending members for telescopically engaged with the tubular sections. By this mechanism, when the first extending member is moving downward along the shaft, the backrest is driven to move backward for accommodating elder child, when the first extending member is moving upward, the backrest is driven to move forward for accommodating little child.

    Abstract: An inclinable headrest includes a base bracket including first and second side walls, a ratchet gear, and a lock gear movable for engagement with the ratchet gear. Both ratchet and lock gears are disposed inwardly of the first and second side walls. The lock gear has a connecting hole. The first side wall of the base bracket has an opening defined at a location where the connecting hole of the lock gear exists, and a connecting region defined near to that opening. Provision of those opening and connecting regions allows direct and quick connection by a worker's hand of a tension spring between the lock gear and base bracket from the outside, such that the worker can directly engage one end of the tension spring with the lock gear's connecting hole through the opening, while directly engaging the other end thereof with the base bracket's connecting region.
