  • Patent number: 11204435
Abstract: A network of motion sensors employs sensitive accelerometers to issue time-domain measurements of building movement from multiple locations within and between buildings and other structures. The time-domain measurements from the various motion sensors are synchronized and converted into frequency-domain measurements of building movement. Individual motion sensors can be equipped with the requisite processor and memory to synchronize and covert the time-domain measurements. The motions sensors can classify detected events into various event types, such as earthquakes, wind events, or bipedal locomotion. The sensors can also communicate with one another or other resources to calculate event probabilities. A motion sensor may, for example, receive an earthquake-verification signal responsive to an earthquake-verification request. The network of motion sensors can calculate local soil stiffness and financial loss estimations responsive to their individual or collective frequency-domain measurements.

  • Patent number: 11194692
Abstract: Methods and systems for system maintenance include identifying patterns in heterogeneous logs. Predictive features are extracted from a set of input logs based on the identified patterns. It is determined that the predictive features indicate a future system failure using a first model. A second model is trained, based on a target sample from the predictive features and based on weights associated with a distance between the target sample and a set of samples from the predictive features, to identify one or more parameters of the second model associated with the future system failure. A system maintenance action is performed in accordance with the identified one or more parameters.

  • Patent number: 11188065
Abstract: Techniques, including systems and methods for monitoring a rotating equipment, are provided. A sensor that is in proximity of the rotating equipment senses vibrations of the rotating equipment. The sensor generates a digital signal corresponding to the vibrations of the rotating equipment and transmits the digital signal over a communication network. A server receives the digital signal and pre-processes the digital signal using ensemble empirical mean decomposition (EEMD) technique. The server processes the digital signal using wavelet neural network (WNN) to detect faults in the rotating equipment. Further, the server processes the digital signal using the wavelet neural network to predict remaining useful life (RUL) of the rotating equipment.
