Abstract: A method of remotely configuring one or more building system components at a building site uses a cloud-based server remote from the building site. The cloud-based server receives information from an intelligent gateway at the building site that identifies each of one or more building system components at the building site. The cloud-based server is used to create a site configuration that is based at least in part on the identified information for each of the one or more building system components. The site configuration is then downloaded from the cloud-based server to the intelligent gateway such that the intelligent gateway is able to pass configuration information to one or more local controllers that control operation of the one or more building system components.

  • Patent number: 11481581
Abstract: A system and method for adjusting estimated number of customers affected by an electrical power distribution network incident. Incident reports indicating a number of affected customers and an incident definition for incidents occurring over an accumulation time are accumulated, where each incident report. For each incident report, a signature is determined based on characterizing respective incidents and includes respective characteristics of the incidents associated with each incident report. A subject incident report is received subsequent to the accumulation time. A signature is determined for the subject incident report. Similar incident reports that have signatures similar to the subject incident are identified. A composite estimated number of affected customers for the subject incident is determined based on the associated numbers of affected customers for each similar incident report.

  • Patent number: 11480661
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a process may select high density points from a point cloud. The process may create one or more clusters from the high density points and identify a circular cluster from the created clusters. The process may identify which points in the circular cluster are inner edge points and determine a center of an ellipse that fits the inner edge points. The process may define a search space utilizing the center of the ellipse. The process may determine the estimated x, y, and z coordinates for the position of the scanner in the search space utilizing a non-linear least square solver with different combinations of a relationship that is true for any pair of points of the cluster. An application may utilize the determined position with an object/file format (e.g., LSA format) to generate a high resolution 3D mesh of a scene.

  • Patent number: 11449809
Abstract: Systems and methods forecast processing capacity by monitoring historical key performance indicators (KPIs). The KPIs include measured values relating to a number of transactions that can be processed in parallel, an average number of transactions currently being processed, and an average amount of time to process each current transaction. One or more query parameters are received to query stored KPI data corresponding to the monitored historical KPIs. A forecasted processing volume level based on predicted values determined from a predictive model of the stored KPI data. The method also comprises generating an alert in response to the processing volume level being forecast to exceed a defined threshold is generated, thereby providing more reliable capacity monitoring and prediction of problems with processing applications that may otherwise go undetected until performance impacts occur.

  • Patent number: 11429093
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe coupling traditional fan and shaper control along with aggregated knowledge of the temperature history of a hardware device to optimally manage the temperature of the hardware device to preserve its expected life while also providing the lower power, best performing solution possible. In one embodiment, a cooling application manages the expected life by trading off performance and power versus temperature to achieve a desired (or accepted) lifetime. In one embodiment, the cooling application calculates a historical temperature value for the hardware device which is then used to determine the expected life of the hardware device.
