    Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for rotatably driving a winding-up/unwinding support, particularly a winding-up/unwinding tube for a sail. This apparatus comprises a transmission shaft (7) having an upper extremity provided with means for fixation (8) to a support, a manual control member (9, 10, 11) able to be actuated manually, a hydraulic motor (13) comprising a motor shaft (15) having one upper extremity of a form able to lodge the lower extremity of the transmission shaft (7), a clutch apparatus controlled by means of a fluid under pressure and having a clutch member (27) movable along the transmission shaft (7) and adapted to solidly connect said transmission shaft and the motor shaft (15) when the clutch apparatus is subjected to the pressure of the fluid, and the transmission shaft (7) and the manual control member (9, 10, 11) in the absence of fluid, and feed means adapted to simultaneously deliver a fluid to the hydraulic motor (13) and the clutch apparatus.

    Abstract: A dust-proof seal has a metal plate attached to a slider and a rubber member adhered to the metal plate. The metal plate has an opening to allow a guide rail to pass therethrough, and the rubber member has protrusion protruding inwardly beyond the inner edge of the opening of the metal plate. A pressing member defined by a wire spring is mounted in a channel formed in the rubber member at the periphery of the lip portions and exerts a spring force to press the lip portions against the surface of the guide rail to thereby bring the lip portions elastically in contact with the guide surface to wipe out any dust deposited thereon.

The fabric is then cut by a cutter and pressed by a blade against the periphery of the empty cloth beam. The wind-on beam travels about the empty cloth beam to a position to permit the cloth beam to wind on the cloth while pressing the folded end of the fabric between the cloth beam and the first winding of fabric on the beam.

    Abstract: A video tape cassette including a supply reel and a take-up reel and guide rollers for guiding the tape from said supply reel to the take-up reel. A portion of the tape is accessible to the reading head of a video player. A mutilating device, such as a cutting blade, is positioned adjacent the path of the leading portion of the tape so that the tape will be cut into strips prior to rewinding the tape on the take-up reel, whereby the video cassette is suitable for a one time only viewing. A cap is provided for locking the supply reel to the housing of the video tape cassette during shipment to prevent rotation of the supply reel. A simple dust cover is provided which may be completely removed from the video tape cassette and which seals the video tape cassette during shipment.

    Abstract: A web (P) is wound onto a core (17) while supported by a first carrier roll (11) and by a second carrier roll (12) and while a press roll (14) presses the web reel (13) that is being wound. The second carrier roll (12) is a carrier roll consisting of a set of belt rolls. The complete web reel is removed by means of a lowering device (15). During the lowering movement of the reel, a new core (17) is shifted into the gap between the first carrier roll (11) and the second carrier roll (12). The web (P) is cut off, and the cut-off end of the web (P) is attached to the core. The winding is slowed down to the exchange speed, nonstop, or to a stop, and the press roll (14) is raised off the complete reel (13) and shifted rearwards relative the complete reel (13). The set (12) of belt rolls is displaced in the lateral direction, and a new core (17) is shifted into the space defined the first carrier roll (11), the first roll (18) in the set (12) of belt rolls, and the complete reel (13).

A band-engaging roller is arranged between each first roller and the corresponding group of second rollers. A first conveyor band is trained over the set of band-engaging rollers nearest one end of the respective shafts while a second conveyor band is trained over the set of band-engaging rollers nearest the other end of the respective shafts. The conveyor bands are provided with gripping elements which clamp webs of photographic paper entering the housing so that the conveyor bands can draw the webs through the housing.

    Abstract: A dispenser for manually dispensing wire bag tie closure strips has a hollow housing having a feed hopper communicating with a transverse cylindrical recess. A removable lid is received on a top portion of the housing. The lid forms an open receptacle for loose bag tie closure strips. A slotted feed roller is rotatably mounted in the cylindrical recess. An exterior control knob is connected for manual rotation of the feed roller for dispensing bag tie closure strips through a horizontal slot formed in a front wall of the housing. A pawl and rachet mechanism is utilized to allow only one bag tie closure strip to be dispensed at a time. An aperture is formed through the front housing wall and is provided with a slidable cover. The aperture is utilized for initially aligning a series of interconnected bag tie closure strips with the slotted feed roller. An adhesive strip is provided on a back exterior wall of the housing for securing the dispenser to a vertical surface.

These rollers displace the air layers 4 adjacent to the film web 1 which are moving into the gusset. The selected distance for the displacement of the air layers between the point of contact of the film roll and the contact roller is so small, that new air layers on the film webs within the gusset can only be formed in the smallest amounts.
