Abstract: The present invention provides a resin composition for flooring characterized in that it comprises a PLA resin, a plasticizer, and an acrylate oligomer. Also, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing flooring, comprising the step of processing flooring which includes a sheet-like molded body of the resin composition and manufacturing the sheet-like molded body by processing the resin composition through extrusion or calendaring methods.

Abstract: The present invention provides derivatives of native lignin having an ethoxy content of 0.45 mmol/g or greater. The surfactant is used in an amount of 1 to 20 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the polyamide rubber elastic body, and is for example at least one member selected from the group consisting of a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate, a dialkyl sulfosuccinate, a fatty acid salt and an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide copolymer. This aqueous dispersion can produce a molded article having the characteristics of the polyamide rubber elastic body, particularly a molded article which hardly suffers from bleeding of the surfactant and is excellent in transparency.

Abstract: A cover composition comprises at least about 50 weight percent water, about 1 to about 50 weight percent of cement and/or fly ash, at least some fiber, at least some water dispersible polymer, and at least some acid, the cover composition being free of foaming agent. The acid is present in an amount sufficient to maintain the pH of the bulk material cover composition between about 1.0 and about 6.0. Also provided is a composition consisting essentially of about 70 to about 80 weight percent cellulosic water dispersible polymer, about 15 to about 30 weight percent fiber, and about 0.1 to about 5 weight percent acid, wherein the acid maintains the pH of the composition between about 1.0 and about 6.0.
Abstract: The claimed invention meets these and other objects by providing a method of preparing a metal salt of a dialkyl ester of 5-sulfoisophthalic acid. Broadly speaking, the method provides for the contacting of a dialkyl ester of 5-sulfoisophthalic acid with a metal cation in a buffered reaction mixture to form the metal salt of the dialkyl ester. The reaction mixture is buffered, at least in part, by the acetate of the metal cation. The method according to invention also encompasses various methods of preparing the dialkyl ester of 5-sulfoisophthalic acid.
