Abstract: A device is described for opening and closing the discharge door of a bulk seed box. The device comprises a portable lightweight structure which is attached to the box and which uses an electrically operated screw actuator or linear actuator to move the discharge door of the box from its closed position to its open position and vice versa. The device is preferably remotely controlled.
Abstract: A hand tool (10), including: a handle (14) at a handle end (16) of an elongated main body (12); an arcuate shaped contact surface (20) on a base end (22) of the elongated main body opposite the handle end; a support strut (35) extending laterally from the elongated main body; and a connection structure (26) disposed at a distal end of the support strut, between the handle end and the arcuate shaped contact surface. The handle is positioned on a concave side (18) of the arcuate shaped contact surface along a line (50) perpendicular to a tangent (52) of the arcuate shaped contact surface, and the perpendicular line traverses a middle 80% of the arcuate shaped contact surface.
Abstract: A post pulling attachment system which easily attaches and detaches from a bucket to aid in safely and efficiently removing a post from the ground. The post pulling attachment system generally includes an outer securing plate and an inner securing plate which are positioned on either side of a bucket. Each of the securing plates includes a plurality of corresponding apertures through which a pair of removal members are extended both to secure the present invention to the bucket and to aid in removing a post. When installed, the removal members will extend outwardly from the bucket in spaced-apart relationship. By positioning a post between the removal members, rotating the bucket to jam the post therein and then lifting the bucket, a post may safely and efficiently be removed from the ground without use of a chain.
Abstract: A tool for engaging and pivoting the rocker arm of an internal combustion engine to enable removal of a push rod from the engine by disengaging the rocker arm from the push rod includes a handle, a pair of bifurcated arms extending from the handle which fit on opposite sides of the rocker arm and further including connected outer ends of the bifurcated arms defining a prong to depress the valve spring. A transverse plate connecting the bifurcated arms engages the underside of a rocker arm as the bifurcated arms are positioned on the bracket supporting the rocker arm to enable pivoting the rocker arm and permit removal of the engine push rod.
Abstract: A system for vertically lifting and lowering a container relative to a supporting surface. The system includes at least two lift mechanisms wherein each mechanism includes a frame attached to the container. An elongated cylinder and piston is associated with each frame so that its axis is substantially vertical. A control circuit selectively connects a power source to each cylinder and piston to move the cylinder and piston between a retracted position in which the piston is spaced upwardly from the supporting surface and an extended position in which a foot on the piston engages the supporting surface and lifts the container upwardly from the supporting surface.
