  • Patent number: 11132507
Abstract: A first vector representation of a first word within a first narrative text and a machine-generated label corresponding to the first word are constructed. Using the first vector representation, an annotator model is trained. The annotator model is configured to produce a set of probabilities, each probability in the set of probabilities representing a probable output annotation corresponding to a word within a narrative text. The training includes minimizing a difference between a first human-generated label corresponding to the first word and a first probable output annotation corresponding to the first word. Using the trained annotator model and a second narrative text, second training data is generated. The trained annotator model is configured to produce an output annotation corresponding to a word within a narrative text. The second training data is usable to train a relation extraction model.

  • Patent number: 11114087
Abstract: An example system and method for monitoring digital conversations is described. In particular, conversations are monitored for periods of inactivity, where upon identifying a particular period of inactivity, further communications are automatically generated to refresh and restart the conversations based on one or more predefined messages. In one example method, a communication target is identified, where the communication target is associated with an existing conversation. An inactivity-based rule is associated with the target and the conversation, the rule associated with an inactivity time and at least one message. Activity associated with the conversation is monitored to determine whether a time of inactivity exceeds the inactivity time. In response to determining that the inactivity time exceeds the inactivity-based rule, a new message is automatically generated and transmitted to the target based on the at least one message of the inactivity-based rule.

  • Patent number: 11107481
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for concealing packet loss in a received audio stream. Packets of the audio stream may be received in a non-lapped transform domain format, where at least one packet is missing in the stream. The received packets are decoded, and each missing packet in the decoded stream is replaced by a reduced-energy signal block. Each reduced-energy signal block may also be modified at a beginning or ending boundary, and shifted such that a start or end of each missing packet does not coincide with a peak of a transform window of a lapped transform domain format. The raw audio signal may then be encoded into transform windows having the lapped transform domain format. Packet loss concealment may then be performed for selected transform windows that include modified reduced-energy blocks, either prior to transmission or after transmission by the receiving endpoint.

  • Patent number: 11023200
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods for delivering audible alerts are described. In one aspect, an event for generating an audible alert for a user is detected. In response to detection of the event for generating for the audible alert, an audible interface device for delivery of the audible alert based on a location of a personal electronic device of the user is selected. It is determined whether a personal electronic device of another user is within a threshold distance of the selected audible interface device. In response to determining that the personal electronic device of another user is within the threshold distance of the selected audible interface device, an audible identifier associated with the user is determined. Alert instructions for the audible interface device are generated and sent to the audible interface device over a wireless network via a communication module.

  • Patent number: 11004457
Abstract: A sound reproducing method used in sound reproducing apparatus that includes the steps outlined below is provided. An input sound signal related to listener data and sound source data is received. An encoding process is performed by multiplying the input sound signal by an encoding function matrix having entries related to a basis function to generate an encoding result. A decoding function matrix is retrieved from the storage and at least one direction parameter is applied to the decoding function matrix, wherein the decoding function matrix compensates a difference between an ideal approximation result and a modeled approximation result of the input sound signal. A decoding process is performed by multiplying the encoding result by the decoding function matrix having the direction parameter applied to generate an output sound signal. The output sound signal is reproduced.
