Abstract: The invention relates to methods, systems and apparatus for distributed management of raw water and internal combustion engine (ICE) gas emissions generated during industrial operations. One aspect of the invention at least partially utilizes a hot gas air knife to increase or partially increase surface area between a raw water and a hot gas in order to vaporize a proportion of the aqueous phase of the raw water and concentrate contaminants within a residual raw water concentrate. The water vapor generated by the vaporization process may be demisted, discharged directly to the atmosphere or alternatively condensed and captured for use. Another aspect relates to how the liquids and gasses interact to continuously flush the surfaces of the system which may help mitigate scaling issues. The invention may help facilitate rapid transfer of ICE combustion gas particulate and ICE combustion gas chemicals onto and into the raw water as it concentrates.

Abstract: A wastewater collection tank feeds a vaporizing unit through an inlet near the unit's top. A burner produces hot air, which a blower blows through a blower tube that passes through the upper portion of the unit to the bottom portion of the unit. A substrate through which air can pass extends across the unit between the bottom of the blower tube and the wastewater inlet. The hot air moving upward through the unit heats the falling wastewater, a substantial portion of which is vaporized therefrom. The vapor is vented from the top of the unit. Un-vaporized wastewater collects at the bottom of the unit and is recycled through the system with raw wastewater in the collection tank.

Abstract: An apparatus and process for thermally de-manufacturing tires and other materials. The apparatus is a retort chamber with various zones in which tires are combusted to provide energy for the thermal depolymerization reaction, depolymerization takes place, and products leave the retort chamber. In one embodiment, the process reacts water with iron present in steel-belted tires to produce hydrogen, which helps to break sulfur-sulfur bonds in vulcanized materials. The water also helps control the temperature of the reaction, which allows for control over the types and relative amounts of the various depolymerization products.

Abstract: A small processor produces potable water from contaminated water. Its components mount in a hermetically sealed housing, which include a boiler-condenser assembly and a compressor unit. Contaminated water is injected onto one or more aluminum shells' inside surface of the boiler-condenser assembly. Shell rotation enhances boiling heat transfer by causing the water to form thin films on the shells' inside surface. Shell rotation also enhances condensing heat transfer by assisting in removing the purified condensate from the shells' outer surface. The change of phase heat of condensation energy from vapor to liquid transfers through the shells to the boilers to cause boiling. Vapor boiled inside the boiler chambers flows toward the compressor, which raises the vapor's pressure and temperature to drive the process. Shell rotation causes centrifugal force that holds and directs concentrated un-boiled remaining water on the shells' inside walls towards the output pumps.
Abstract: An apparatus and system for producing fresh water from moisture-laden air. The apparatus has a frame supporting a plurality of condensation panels that each have a panel body defining a pair of condensation surfaces that will contact the moisture-laden air. A panel support mechanism supports each of the condensation panels in spaced apart relation to each other so each condensation surface contacts moisture-laden air. A flow channel inside the panel body defines a flow path for a cooling fluid that cools the condensation surfaces so the moisture-laden air will produce condensate thereon that collects as fresh water. The system includes a plurality of apparatuses, a chilling mechanism to cool the cooled fluid, inlet and discharge lines connecting the chilling mechanism and apparatuses, pumps to pressurize the cooled fluid, fans to move the moisture-laden air and water collecting surfaces to collect the fresh water.
