  • Patent number: 5923180
Abstract: A compliant wafer prober docking adapter provide compliant docking capability which permits a test head to be floated (to come down) to the top portion of the compliant adapter. The compliant adapter includes a compliant spring mechanism in the form of coiled springs which support a portion of the weight of the test head and wherein the upper portion of the adapter automatically aligns itself with the test head. This desirable aspect allows for all of the connectors to be seated properly, such that the locking of a cam locking mechanism provides a compliant and secure mating between the two surfaces. Also, a test head can be easily moved from one wafer prober to another, because the alignment of the adapter to the wafer is not being disturbed.

  • Patent number: 5372413
Abstract: A vehicle braking system has a controller responsive to wheel speed signals for sensing skid conditions of the wheels and for generating skid control instructions. A primary fluid pressure supply includes a fluid pressure source and a fluid pressure reservoir and wheel brakes are responsive to brake pressure supplied to the brakes by supply valves, each of which is adapted to supply fluid brake pressure to a different wheel brake or brakes from the primary supply in accordance with a brake operating signal which can be modulated by skid control units. Each pair of supply valve and skid control unit is adapted to control the fluid pressure of a different wheel brake or brakes. A plurality of brake operating signals are generated, independently of the skid control units, as a function of a brake command signal and a brake operating signal is supplied for each of the supply valves. All the components are connected together so as to be mountable on the vehicle as a discrete unit.

  • Patent number: 5184701
Abstract: Device for compensating the clearance between brake linings and drums accomplished by means of ratchets (21) engaged during displacement of the operating system of the camshaft (10) with the peripheral teeth (14) of an intermediate ring (11) fixed to the camshaft (10). The ratchets are retained in receptacles having a width greater than the ratchets. The ratchets and the teeth have mating undercuts. The greater width provides the desired brake clearance after adjustment and the undercuts provide both a full release of the ratchet and a slight relaxation of the adjustment.
