  • Patent number: 10543800
Abstract: A side airbag device for a vehicle includes a lower chamber and an upper chamber to protect a passenger from a side impact in the event of a vehicle collision. The upper chamber is bent towards the passenger by a connecting tether to support a passenger's neck region and prevent the neck from being twisted. The restraint belt forms an inserting space in front of a passenger when the upper chamber is bent so that a passenger's shoulder region is inserted into the inserting space when the passenger is moved forwards by collision inertia. The passenger's shoulder region is surrounded and supported by the restraint belt so that the passenger's body is restrained by a seat. A passenger is protected from impact and simultaneously the passenger is restrained by the seat to minimize an injury.

  • Patent number: 10479436
Abstract: A powered vehicle has a rear frame assembly and a front frame assembly that are pivotally attached to one another, and can be pivoted from a normal fully-extended operating position to a folded position in which the frame assemblies are positioned substantially adjacent to one another, effectively reducing overall vehicle length to about half. One or more latch members lock the front and rear frame assemblies in the fully-extended, normal operating position, and they may be used to lock the frame assemblies in the folded position. The seat support structure may be integrated with the front and rear frame assemblies such that pivoting the frame assemblies toward the folded position collapses the seat support. The steering tiller may also be collapsible toward the front frame assembly. The rear wheels may be mounted on a transaxle that is pivotally mounted on the rear frame assembly. An extendable handle may be provided to assist in the folding operation and to tow the collapsed vehicle on its anti-tip rollers.

  • Patent number: 10399528
Abstract: A fixing clip for fixing a member to a body panel includes a bushing and a lock pin. The bushing includes a head, a leg and paired engagement hooks. Each engagement hook includes a head-side engagement portion and a leg tip-side engagement portion located closer to a tip of the leg than the head-side engagement portion. Each engagement hook includes a rib extending from the tip-side engagement portion toward the head. When the leg tip-side engagement portion is brought into engagement with the body panel, since the fixing clip has been largely inclined relative to the body panel, a bending moment acting on the leg is decreased so that the leg is unlikely to be broken at a root of the leg. As a result, a durability of the fixing clip having two steps of engagement portions is improved compared to a conventional fixing clip having a single engagement portion.

  • Patent number: 10392778
Abstract: A support system for an excavator is disclosed as it may include an extended center frame, a trench support, and/or a mat. The extended center frame may be bolted onto a standard excavator to widen the overall footprint of the machine and reduce ground pressure. The trench support relieves any remaining pressure toward the open trench. The extended center frame enables a larger excavator to straddle an open trench, while at the same time a smaller excavator can dig the shallower depths, thereby increasing efficiencies. By implementing the trench support and/or the mat, it might not be necessary to widen the tracks of the excavator as far, thus further reducing time-related costs. In addition, the trench support may also enhance safety of the trenching operations.
