Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus for dripping fluid to attract birds. The invention comprises a reservoir having an orifice and a tube extending therefrom. A valve is attached to the tube. The reservoir is filled with fluid which in turns passes through the orifice and tube, while the valve regulates the flow rate of the fluid through the tube. The invention has a receptacle beneath the tube to collect the fluid and a hanging mechanism for hanging the invention at the desired location.

Abstract: A plant packaging and covering system including a floral sleeve having a decorative pattern thereon. The sleeve may have a lower portion sized to cover a pot and an upper portion which dan surround a plant disposed in the pot and which can be detached after the protective function of the upper portion is complete or which can be used to support the sleeve from a support device prior to use. The decorative pattern preferably has an arcuate upper boundary in the flattened condition which when opened, gives the sleeve the appearance of having an upper edge which is parallel to the upper rim of the pot disposed within the sleeve.

Abstract: A method of de-boning a fowl comprises; making an incision along a leg bone, exposing a leg joint between the leg bone and the rest of the turkey, severing the leg joint; removing two segments of a wing; making an incision along a third segment of the wing; exposing a wing joint between the wing bone of the third segment and the rest of the turkey, severing the wing joint; making an incision along the back of the fowl, separating the flesh of the back from the backbone and ribcage; severing a joint between the thighbone and the rest of the fowl; making an incision along a shoulderbone; removing a ribcage from the rest of the fowl; separating flesh from a breastbone and removing the breastbone; removing a wishbone; making an incision along a thighbone, exposing and severing the thigh joint.

Abstract: An arrangement for managing a herd of freely walking animals includes an area (1) for receiving the animals, a milking station (2) and a plurality of waiting station (3) leading from the receiving area (1) to at least the milking station (2). The waiting station (3) is arranged to receive one animal and comprises one identification device (7) for identifying the animal entering the waiting station (3). The arrangement comprises a memory device (8) arranged to provide a value of a parameter related to the milk production of an animal identified by the identification device (7) and present in the waiting station (3) and by an analyzer (9) for analyzing the parameter and determining if the animal is to be milked in response to the value.

Abstract: There is a training device to train dogs to recongnize an object with a distinctive odor such as a drug like marijuana, heroine, cocaine, and the like. An object with a distinctive odor can be placed in a position that the dog cannot touch or contact the object. Then, the dog is allowed to sniff around the object and if the dog recognizes the object with the distinctive odor the dog demonstrates such recognition. The trainer, at a position remote from the dog and also from the object, can release the object so that it will be available to the dog and the dog can put the object in the dog's mouth or play with the object. The release of the object is a reward to the dog for the dog recognizing the distinctive odor. In this manner, the dog can be trained to recognize an object with the distinctive odor. The distinctive odor may be a drug such as marijuane, cocaine, heroine, or may be another distinctive odor such as the odor of an individual or human being on a search and rescue party.

Abstract: An aviary for housing animals having a floor, a plurality of side walls and a ceiling forming at least one main room and a vestibule separate from the main room. The vestibule has at least two doors, one interior door and one exterior door, that allow people to enter and leave the aviary while keeping the animals securely housed within the main room, away from the exterior door of the aviary. The aviary has at least one footing with a pest shroud for keeping rodents and the like from climbing the footing up to the aviary.

Abstract: An adjustable tethering device for various objects, including horses and other animals, includes a tie arm attachment structure, an elongated tie arm, a brace and a support structure which includes a bearing surface. The tie arm has one end pivotally attached to the tie arm attachment structure. The other end of the tie arm has an attachment point to which a lead of the object being restrained, such as a horse, may be attached. One end of the brace is pivotally attached to the tie arm between the tie arm attachment structure and the attachment point. The opposite end of the brace is supported by the bearing surface of the support structure when the tie arm is in an elevated position. In one embodiment, the tie arm attachment structure and the support structure comprise a single C channel. When used on a structure such as a trailer the adjustable tethering device may be adjusted between a travel position and one or more elevated positions.

Abstract: A pet kennel operable between a use position and a nested position. The pet kennel contains an upper portion having a top wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a first sidewall, a second sidewall and a bottom opening located opposite the top wall. The front wall, rear wall and sidewalls form a lip adjacent the bottom opening. The lower portion contains a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a first sidewall, a second sidewall and an upper opening located opposite the bottom wall. A rim is formed adjacent the upper opening by the first wall, rear wall and the sidewalls. While in the use position, the upper portion lip is mated with the lower portion rim so that the top wall is spaced apart the bottom to form the pet containment area. In the nested position, the upper portion lip mated with the lower portion rim such that the top wall is located adjacent the bottom wall.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for emptying a turkey coop of its cargo. A support structure, moveable along rails, is aligned with the coop. A moveable carriage, supported by the support structure, is moved into the coop and the turkeys are surrounded and contained therein. After the turkeys are contained within the moveable carriage, the moveable carriage is extracted from the coop and the turkeys move onto a conveyor belt that moves them away from the coop.

Abstract: A hanging tray bird feeder including a self-aligning supporting mechanism. The supporting mechanism includes a pair of hangers pivotally attached to opposite sides of the bird feeder and a hook slidably mounted to each of the hangers. When the hook is pulled upwardly and away from the bird feeder, the hook pulls each of the hangers outwardly from within the bird feeder into continuously aligned, extended positions above the feeder that allow the feeder to always be positioned in a level configuration when the bird feeder is attached to a tree limb by the hook.

Abstract: A pet drinking device includes a water container, a spout seat, and a retainer. The spout seat is detachably fastened to a water outlet of the water container and is provided with at least one in-cage spout and one out-cage spout. The retainer is used to hold securely the spout seat and to fasten the pet drinking device to a pet cage such that the in-cage spout is located in the pet cage and that the out-cage spout is extended out of the pet.

Abstract: Bait for attracting crustaceans and non-crustaceans which are caught in trap fishery. The bait includes a pelletized carrier composed of ingredients intended for long life in sea water. The pelletized carrier is mixed with specific attractants depending on the desired catch and a fish oil is added to coat the pellets and attractant and to allow for the timed release of the attractant. In experiments to date, it has been found that the use of the pelletized carrier and attractant together with the fish oil coating has been effective as a bait in attracting catch and has an extended life within the traps.

Abstract: A toy for an animal, the toy having a first flexible sheet having a first outer periphery; a second flexible sheet having a second outer periphery; and connectors for joining at least three portions of the first and second sheets, the portions being located adjacent to the first outer periphery of the first sheet and the second outer periphery of the second sheet, the connectors forming openings between each of the portions, and the connectors forming a cavity between the first flexible sheet and the second flexible sheet, the cavity being formed within the portions joined to one another, and the openings having a given length defined by the size of each of the connectors and the total number of the connectors; wherein the openings are sized to permit passage of a favorite object therethrough.

Abstract: Bait for attracting crustaceans, particularly lobster. The bait includes a pelletized carrier composed of ingredients intended for long life in sea water. Abstract: A livestock feeder includes a sidewall with a top and a bottom. The sidewall forms an enclosure adapted for receiving feed. Rim and base rings are provided adjacent to the sidewall top and bottom, and a medial ring is located generally intermediate the rim and base rings. The rings can assume various geometric configurations, including circular and polygonal, which configurations define a footprint of the feeder. The rings are maintained in spaced, generally parallel relation by an upper tier of support bars extending between and connected to the rim and medial rings and a lower tier or space or bars extending between and connected to the base and medial rings. The rings comprise multiple sections which can be joined together mechanically with telescopic corrections, by welding or by adhesive. The spacer bars can likewise be connected to the rings by various connection techniques. The feeder components can be formed by extrusion, rotational molding or other suitable manufacturing methods.

Abstract: A gate for use in cattle handling systems, where animals pass between different areas separated by fences and passage from one area to another takes place through the gate. The gate is spring biased to occupy a closed position, in which it is lockable by at least one catch member being releasable in response to the approach of an animal identified as allowable for passage. The catch member is arranged to provide free passage at all times through the gate in one opening direction and to be actuatable for releasing the gate for opening in the opposite opening direction.
