Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for selection of characters from an electronic user interface. In one embodiment, a letter selection interface displays letters in a row, some of which are recordable by an input interpreter and others that are unrecordable. In one embodiment, unrecordable letters visually separate letters that are both (1) recordable, and (2) assigned to different but adjacent selection buttons. In response to received touch-screen activations, an interpreter records recordable letter selections and a display displays both recordable and unrecordable letter selections. The interpreter composes a sequence of the recorded letters. An algorithm identifies alternatives to the recorded sequence by editing one or more letters of the sequence, such that each edit changes a selected letter to an adjacent unrecordable letter. The algorithm outputs words that match the originally composed sequence or one of the identified alternatives.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method is disclosed for use with a portable electronic device having a display. The method enables switching between electronic inboxes that can be accessed from the electronic device. In some configurations, the method includes, while the device is displaying emails in a first inbox, detecting user selection of a first icon. The method further includes, in response to user selection of the first icon, displaying a set of inbox selection icons; and, in response to user selection of one of the inbox selection icons, displaying emails in a second inbox corresponding to the inbox selection icon selected by the user.

Abstract: Efficiently executing command-line interface commands with an automated command-line interface. A computing device presents a command-line interface for entry of a command-line by a user. The computing device receives a command-line in the command-line interface to execute an editable view container, the editable view container displaying target content in an editable viewer. The computing device receives one or more user edits to modify the target content entered by the user into the editable viewer. The one or more user edits to the target content are validated. The computing device accesses a manifest file containing a plurality of stored command-lines, each stored command-line corresponding to possible user edits. The computing device executes automatically stored command-lines corresponding to the one or more user edits to modify the target content. The modified target content is displayed in the editable viewer.

Abstract: A computer system may include a server(s) to publish RSS feeds each including a unique ID for an associated audio file. Each audio file may have an action(s) pinned to a respective playback time window within the audio file. A client computing device may cooperate with the server(s) to access a given RSS feed and play the respective audio file, identify the unique ID for the respective audio file from the RSS feed, retrieve the playback time window from the server(s) based upon the unique ID, display a selectable graphical prompt on the display during the playback time window, and send a notification to the server(s) based upon selection of the prompt identifying the unique ID and user-specific information for a user of the client computing device. The server(s) may identify the action(s) associated with the respective audio file based upon the notification, and call a corresponding application based thereon.

Exemplary user interfaces related to activity competitions are described. Exemplary user interfaces related to a friends list for activity sharing are described. Exemplary user interfaces associated with alerts presented to a user in response to automatically determining a boundary of a workout are described. Abstract: Some embodiments provide a non-transitory machine-readable medium that stores a program. The program presents a selectable user interface (UI) item for toggling between operating in a first mode and operating in a second mode. The program further presents a chart visualization that includes a plurality of selectable data points. Upon receiving a touch input while operating in the first mode, the program also performs a first operation on the chart visualization. Upon receiving the touch input while operating in the second mode, the program further performs a second, different operation on the chart visualization.

Abstract: Embodiments for phased collaborative editing by a processor. A region tag of phased input may be assigned to one or more document regions of a collaborative document along with a list of users enabled to input data to the one or more document regions according to the region tag. A concealed region of the one or more document regions may be revealed to one or more users in the list of users upon content input by a user matching content of the concealed region.

Abstract: A method of clinical evaluation of a cardiology patient includes the providing of a computer having a database and a user interface that includes a display screen. One or more images are displayed on the display screen, each being an anatomical representation of a part of a human heart which are a portion of a human heart, there is displayed on the screen patient data that corresponds to the part that is displayed on the screen. Such data can be for example prior or present test data. One embodiment includes a graphical medical generation system for replacing the dictation and transcription process of a cardiology health care professionals. A graphical display is provided which processes user input in conjunction with pre-defined cardiology reporting options to generate user-defined cardiology reports. A method and apparatus 10 is described for controlling, via a relational databases, the selection of pre-defined character strings to be inserted into the generated cardiology report.

Responsive to the user selecting a second one of the plurality of digital photographs, the method includes digitally linking the first digital photograph with the second digital photograph. Responsive to receiving a selection of the displayed user-selectable flipping element, the method includes causing the first digital photograph to be digitally flipped such that the second digital photograph is displayed on the video display device.

The subject technology displays the image data in the graphical canvas in a second view, the graphical canvas being overlaid over at least a portion of the rendered image. The subject technology receives input stroke data corresponding to the second view, the input stroke data being continuous with the touch input. The subject technology responsive to detecting that the touch input has ended, copies the input stroke data to the plurality of tiles of the first view. Further, The subject technology displays the input stroke data and the image in the plurality of tiles of the first view.

The computing device includes a processor programmed to display a control user interface via a first display screen and a display user interface via a second display screen.
