  • Patent number: 11621880
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for inserting supplemental content into a QAM signal. A unicast QAM signal between a server and a client device for delivery of content is established. The QAM signal has a particular frequency corresponding to the channel on which it will be transmitted to the client device. A request or other signal may be received from the client device requesting that supplemental content be inserted into the QAM signal. A portion of the bandwidth of the QAM signal is allocated for the supplemental content. The supplemental content is transcoded into a supplemental QAM signal in the particular frequency. The supplemental content may be packetized content such as internet protocol-based content and may be retrieved from a server or database. The supplemental QAM signal is then inserted into the unicast QAM signal using the allocated portion of the bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 11569853
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program product embodiments are disclosed for removing any fixed frequency interfering signal from an input signal without introducing artifacts that are not part of the original signal of interest. An embodiment operates by using a virtual buffer with a length that matches a length of one cycle of an interfering signal. The embodiment extracts the interfering signal into the virtual buffer. For a sample in the next cycle of the interfering signal that corresponds to a virtual memory location for the virtual buffer, the embodiment can update one or more physical memory locations of the virtual buffer that are in the vicinity of the virtual memory location. This use of virtual buffer can remove any interfering signal without creating the artifacts associated with conventional notch filters.

  • Patent number: 11546201
Abstract: An improved way is disclosed for recovering a message by merging two corrupted copies of the message in 5G or 6G. Message faults, from noise or interference, distort the modulation of one or more message elements. In a modulation scheme of amplitude-modulated quadrature (I and Q) signals, noise can change the amplitude values, which results in demodulation faults. Often the reception is so poor that a retransmission of the message is also faulted. Nevertheless, the receiver can recover the correct message by measuring a modulation quality of each message element, and assembling a merged message from the best-quality message elements of the two copies. The modulation quality depends on the message element's amplitude versus the calibrated amplitude levels of the modulation scheme. By selecting the individual message elements from the two faulted copies, based on the modulation quality, users can obtain better reception at longer distances while expending less power.
