  • Patent number: 8120460
Abstract: A method for method of initializing an electronic lock is disclosed. The method comprises a point-of-sale terminal reading electronic lock identification information from the electronic lock and the point-of-sale terminal receiving confidential information from a mobile electronic device. The method also comprises an inventory control system that is coupled to the point-of-sale terminal and that transmits an electronic lock registration message, wherein the registration message contains at least some of the confidential information and at least some of the identification information. When the inventory control system receives an electronic access code in response to the electronic lock registration message, the point-of-sale terminal transmits the electronic access code to the mobile electronic device. The electronic access code is operable to lock and unlock the electronic lock when transmitted, using near-field-communication technology, to the electronic lock.

  • Patent number: 8106748
Abstract: A remote-controlled motion apparatus is controlled by a remote control apparatus. The remote control apparatus transmits a target motion signal by radio. The remote-controlled motion apparatus includes a communication module, an acceleration sensing module, a processing module and a driving module. The communication module receives the target motion signal from the remote control apparatus. The acceleration sensing module senses an acceleration of the remote-controlled motion apparatus to output an acceleration sensing signal. The processing module is coupled with the acceleration sensing module and the communication module, and processes the acceleration sensing signal and the target motion signal to output a driving control signal. The driving module is coupled with the processing module to receive the driving control signal, and adjusts the driving of the remote-controlled motion apparatus according to the driving control signal.

  • Patent number: 8089342
Abstract: When a vehicle door locking operation is conducted, an in-vehicle device checks the vehicle compartment to determine whether a mobile unit exists in the vehicle compartment. When the in-vehicle device receives a response from the mobile unit indicating its presence in the compartment, the in-vehicle device receives a response from the mobile unit, prohibits the door from locking, and activates a buzzer. The mobile unit thus can be prevented from being locked in the vehicle compartment. When the mobile unit receives the search signal, it sounds its buzzer, thereby making it possible to further indicate its location within the compartment.

  • Patent number: 7969312
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device with its related electronic circuit and to a detection process targeted to detect any magnetic material moving around the antennas/sensors used in Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) electromagnetic systems, which can be internally or externally coupled to these kind of anti-theft systems, significantly decreasing its current vulnerability to fraud since the current EAS electromagnetic systems are vulnerable for not being able to detect magnetic materials. The present process and detector device filter and treat the DC signal generated by the displacement of a magnetic material around one or more EAS electromagnetic system antenna/sensor(s). Magnetic material detection is achieved from a differential signal existing in the antenna/sensor receiver, such signal being forwarded to a control unit wherein there are coupled a device comprising a “n” order filter, a buffer, a sensitivity control circuit, a control logic and an alarm module.
