Abstract: A method is provided for using an extended workstation. The method includes: determining a first object and a second object suitable for being used by a user, the extended workstation including each object determined during the step of determining the first object and the second object; determining a technical resource of the second object and determining an access giving access to the resource enabling the resource to be used; storing in a server an identifier of the determined technical resource in association with an identifier of the second object and an identifier of the access for accessing the resource; and using the technical resource by the first object via the access giving access to the resource.

Abstract: Methods of processing a packet, APs, ACs and non-transitory machine-readable storage mediums are provided in examples of the present disclosure. In one aspect, an AP receives an Internet-of-Things data packet sent by an Internet-of-Things sensor, wherein a sensor identifier of the Internet-of-Things sensor is carried in the Internet-of-Things data packet; and sends the received Internet-of-Things data packet to an AC such that the AC processes the Internet-of-Things data packet based on the sensor identifier.

Abstract: Techniques are described for managing distributed execution of programs. In some situations, the techniques include dynamically modifying the distributed program execution in various manners, such as based on monitored status information. The dynamic modifying of the distributed program execution may include adding and/or removing computing nodes from a cluster that is executing the program, modifying the amount of computing resources that are available for the distributed program execution, terminating or temporarily suspending execution of the program (e.g., if an insufficient quantity of computing nodes of the cluster are available to perform execution), etc.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for merging downloaded data with a real-time data are disclosed. An example includes receiving downloaded item of data from a download connection with a data repository and real-time item of data from a real-time data feed with a data publisher. In response to determining that the downloaded item of data includes the most recent downloaded item of data from the download connection, the downloaded item of data is stored as the last downloaded item of data. In response to determining that the real-time item of data is the most recent real-time item of data received from the real-time data feed, the real-time item of data is stored as the last real-time item of data from the real-time data feed. In response to determining a match between the last downloaded item of data and the last real-time item of data the download connection is ended.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, devices, and apparatuses, including computer programs stored on computer-readable media, for establishing communication between a first node and a second node in a blockchain system. One of the methods includes: the first node providing a node identifier of the first node to the second node and receiving a node identifier of the second node from the second node, to cause a first communication session to be established between the first node and the second node; the first node determining whether a second communication session exists between the first node and the second node; and in response to a determination that the second communication session exists between the first node and the second node, terminating one of the first communication session and the second communication session based on the node identifier of the first node and the node identifier of the second node.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for requesting service delivery of data in a communication network. A mobile device sends, to an interaction device, information relating to a service and requests information relating to a RAN to which the mobile device is attached. It receives the requested information from a remote device and uses the received information to establish a required service delivery parameter relating to delivery of the service from a server to the mobile device. It sends towards the server a request for data, the request including the established service delivery parameter, and receives from the server data sent using the service delivery parameter.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for managing an application executing in a remote session. A user device (e.g., mobile device) creates a control communication session for an application executing within a remote session established between a remote application server and a client device. This application is being displayed by the client device. The user device receives metadata indicating a subset of user actions available from the application, and uses it to generate, for display on the user device, a graphical user interface. The graphical user interface is configured to, when activated by user input, inject input commands into the remote session for the application.

Abstract: It is presented a method, executed in a gateway, the gateway being arranged to facilitate communication between a client device and an application server. The method comprises the steps of: sending a request for an electronically transferable subscriber identity module, the request comprising an identifier based on an identity of the client device; receiving a response indicating that an electronically transferable subscriber identity module, generated based on the identifier, is available; downloading the electronically transferable subscriber identity; and storing the electronically transferable subscriber identity module with an association to the client device, along with any previously stored electronically transferable subscriber identity modules. Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for connection concentration in a database environment. A transparency engine provided between client applications and a database can include a connection pool (e.g., UCP connection pool). The transparency engine can operate as a proxy engine for the database and as a session abstraction layer for the client applications, to enable the client applications to utilize features provided by the connection pool without code changes. The transparency engine can receive application connections from the client applications, and concentrate the application connections on a smaller number of database connections maintained in the connection pool.

Abstract: Generating automatic diagnostics alerts is disclosed. At a first time, a set of quality metrics for a plurality of groups of streaming sessions is computed. An anomaly is identified at least in part by performing anomaly detection using the set of quality metrics and historical information. A cause of the identified anomaly is diagnosed. An alert is generated based at least in part on the diagnosis.

Abstract: A method and system for improving access to network content are described. Aspects of the disclosure minimize the delay between a navigation event and a network response by prerendering the next navigation event. For example, the method and system may predict a likely next uniform resource locator during web browsing to preemptively request content from the network before the user selects the corresponding link on a web page. The methods and systems describe a variety of manners for prerendering content and managing and configuring prerendering operations.

Abstract: Surrogate browsing techniques are disclosed. A request for a page is received, from a client, by a surrogate. The specified page is requested by the surrogate from a site. Data received from the site in response to the request is rendered at the surrogate. A representation of the page is transmitted to the client.
