  • Patent number: 4719314
Abstract: At a rear side, a plastic housing of an operating unit for a radio telephone has cable transitions at a housing edge which are movable in a pivotal manner so that flexible cables extending through the cable transitions are protected against fatigue and rupture.

  • Patent number: 4710590
Abstract: A sealing device in metal cabinets, which are used to screen off electromagnetic fields, for compressing metallic gaskets along the edges of its door. The device includes an elongate element (3,5,18) the length of which conforms with that of the door (1,2) and which is pivotable about an axis (7) parallel to the pivoting axis of the door. At its pivoting axis (7) the element is provided with a first elongate contact surface (10) which presses against the gasket (12) with a leverage effect when the element is turned to one end position. A second elongate contact surface (8) disposed on the element simultaneously engages against an abutment (9,16) to prevent the door from warping due to the pressure applied against the gasket.

  • Patent number: 4705916
Abstract: The invention provides a mechanism for retaining an electromagnetic interference gasket for metal cabinets adapted to enclose electronic apparatus. One of two mating surfaces is provided with pairs of slots along the mating surface. A compressible flexible gasket having a conductive outer surface is threaded in the slots in an over and under manner whereby it is retained in place along the periphery of the mating surface. Alternatively, the slots are in the shape of a keyhole. The annular portion of the keyhole is adapted to receive the gasket comfortably and the parallel sides are spaced apart a distance less than the diameter of the gasket thereby necessitating compression of the gasket to achieve insertion into the annular portion of the slot.
