Abstract: A lid for a cup is described where the lid acts to hold a can upside down inside the cup. The lid including a rim attachment mechanism allowing the lid to be attached to the cup and a dome connected to the rim attachment mechanism and having an aperture therein. The lid also includes a can receptacle extending from the top into the interior of the dome through the aperture in the dome, wherein the can receptacle is formed to accept a can and to hold the can in a fixed position relative to the lid, and a bottle receptacle extending from a bottom of the can receptacle, wherein the bottle receptacle is formed to accept a neck of the bottle and to hold the bottle in a fixed position relative to the lid.

Abstract: A container configured to be stacked adjacent to a second container is provided. The container includes a sidewall having a first end, an end wall having a peripheral edge, a seam coupling the peripheral edge of the end wall to the first end of the sidewall, and an alignment feature coupled to the seam. The alignment feature includes an inner surface. The alignment feature is positioned relative to the seam such that, when the container is stacked adjacent to the second container, the inner surface of the alignment feature contacts an outer surface of a seam of the second container, the contact resisting lateral movement of the container relative to the second container.

Abstract: A method for matching pairs of socks includes engaging a first sock with a channel defined within a sock engaging assembly. The sock engaging assembly is defined about a basket. The method including inserting a second sock into the first sock and pushing the matched pair of socks through the channel into the basket.

Abstract: A finish portion for a plastic container includes a threaded portion having at least one helical thread and a substantially flat thread positioned beneath the helical thread. The helical thread is merged into the flat thread. A transfer bead is positioned beneath the threaded portion and a gripping indentation is defined between the threaded portion and the transfer bead for facilitating automated conveyance. The gripping indentation may be shaped so that no separate ledge is defined between the threaded portion and the transfer bead. The gripping indentation may have a height that is at least about 0.085 inch. The finish portion has a maximum thread diameter and a maximum height, and a ratio of the maximum thread diameter to the maximum height may be at least about 2.3.

Abstract: A hot-fillable container that is cylindrical in shape. The container may have two ribs. A top rib is located in the top bumper and a bottom rib is located in the bottom bumper. Both the top and the bottom ribs have depth that is deep enough so that the container may withstand the hot-fill process and increase its top load ability.

Abstract: A handle for attachment to a bail member of a bucket is disclosed. The handle includes a base formed from two interlocking members, a first member frictionally engages a second member, locking the two members together without tools. Upon the interlocking of the first member and second member, a base structure is formed providing a receptacle constructed in a range for receipt of the bail member along an upper section. A centrally disposed cavity may be included in the upper section for receipt of a tubular sleeve commonly found on buckets and employing bail members for carrying heavy weights. The base structure is positioned beneath the bail member wherein a portion of the bail member is insertable into the receptacle. A cover member is secured to the top section of the base structure to conceal the receptacle and secure the bail member within the handle.

Abstract: A corrugated paperboard wraparound blank for forming a shipping case is provided, including five wall panels and four sets of end flaps connected via fold lines, at least two sets of stacking tabs, and at least two corresponding sets of receiving slots for receiving the stacking tabs. The wraparound blank is formed of a heavier material than a conventional blank, which would typically be difficult for automatic packaging equipment to form into a case, but the fold lines are creased with optional perforations or scoring. An optional modification aiding folding is presented for conventional case packers. The heavier fiberboard better supports and protects an inner product, such as cartons or paper bottles of liquids and reduces damage to the cap and neck. The heavier material in combination with the stacking tabs allows an increase in stacking height, thereby reducing transportation costs.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a trash can assembly (e.g., a receptacle configured to receive refuse, recyclable materials, or otherwise), and related methods, are provided. Some embodiments of the trash can assembly include a body component and a lid configured to move between an open position and a closed position. In some variants, the lid can be moved between the open and closed positions by a power operated driving mechanism, such as a motor and/or other drivetrain components. In certain embodiments, the trash can assembly includes a clutch mechanism to facilitate manual operation of the lid while inhibiting or preventing damage to the motor and/or other drivetrain components.

Abstract: A container system includes a tub including a front wall, a back wall opposite the front wall and side walls extending between the front wall and the back wall. A bottom extends between the front wall, back wall and side walls. A mouth structure includes a fastening feature configured for connecting to a lid. The mouth structure has an opening therethrough that provides access to a containing volume of the tub. A shoulder extends inwardly from the side walls to the mouth structure. A plurality of unitized doses of a detergent composition is located within the containing volume of the tub. A lid is connected to tub using the fastening feature. The lid has an open position for allowing user access to the containing volume and a closed position for preventing user access to the containing volume.

Abstract: Thermocline storage tanks for solar power systems are disclosed. A thermocline region is provided between hot and cold storage regions of a fluid within the storage tank cavity. One example storage tank includes spaced apart baffles fixed relative to the tank and arranged within the thermocline region to substantially physically separate the cavity into hot and cold storage regions. In another example, a flexible baffle separated the hot and cold storage regions and deflects as the thermocline region shifts to accommodate changing hot and cold volumes. In yet another example, a controller is configured to move a baffle within the thermocline region in response to flow rates from hot and cold pumps, which are used to pump the fluid.

Abstract: A plate with an aperture or opening located within the perimeter of the plate is adapted to receive a beverage container thereby allowing a user to hold both a plate and a beverage in one hand. A raised exterior perimeter wall and a raised interior retaining wall are configured to contain food or other articles on the plate and to avoid spills and leakages while being held by a user. A plurality of raised interior segmenting walls allow a user to separate articles of food, condiments, or other items located on the surface of the plate.

Abstract: A beverage container lid. The lid provides a drink outlet that allows liquid to fill a drink well base, from which a consumer may sip a beverage similar to using a cup or mug. The lid provides a natural drinking experience. The base is sized and shaped to sealingly engage the opening of the beverage container. A hollow raised lip portion is provided, with an exterior portion extending upwardly. An outer lip portion is provided having an interior portion sloping downwardly and inwardly. The drink well base may slope upwardly from a peripheral side.

Abstract: A floor box assembly includes a floor box, a mounting plate, a below-floor insulation kit, and an intumescent stem. When the floor box is installed on a floor deck having flutes and valleys, the mounting plate straddles one or more valleys and supports the floor box. The below-floor insulation kit closes off the flutes adjacent to the valley straddled by the mounting plate, and the intumescent stem penetrates the floor deck at the bottom of the valley. When installed, the floor box assembly is held together by attachment fasteners extending from the mounting plate through the floor deck and the below-floor insulation kit.

The wall can comprise a protrusion (X) that extends into the compartment such that, when the wall is displaced to the second position, the protrusion can cause the material to be released from the compartment. Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the invention provide a vessel for containing or conveying molten metal therein. At least part of the outer surface of the vessel incorporates a web of metal wires embedded in the surface, the wires being mutually overlaid with openings formed therebetween. The refractory material penetrates into the openings. The web may comprise woven metal wires or non-woven wires or both. The web imparts resistance to cracking (or containment of cracks, once formed) and/or resistance to molten metal leakage if cracks develop. The invention also provides metal containment structures containing such vessels, and methods of producing the same.
