Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to item transportation management. Package characteristics of a first package are determined. A set of unstructured data is processed to determine a transportation constraint associated with a transportation path. The package characteristics of the first package are compared to the transportation constraint. A determination is made that the package characteristics of the first package do not satisfy the transportation constraint based on the comparison. A reconfiguration recommendation is then issued to an individual associated with the first package in response to the determination that the package characteristics of the first package do not satisfy the transportation constraint.

Abstract: Embodiments include methods, systems and computer program products method for transferring one or more packages between delivery vehicles. The computer-implemented method includes monitoring, using a processor, a plurality of delivery vehicles. The processor determines that one or more packages should be transferred between a first delivery vehicle and a second delivery vehicle of the plurality of delivery vehicles. The processor further instructs the first delivery vehicle and the second delivery vehicle to meet at a rendezvous location. The processor identifies one or more packages to transfer from the first delivery vehicle to the second delivery vehicle. The processor further transfers the identified one or more packages from the first delivery vehicle to the second delivery vehicle. The processor further stores the identified one or more packages in the second delivery vehicle.

Abstract: Embodiments provide for using a set of sensors installing within a cargo container and on a vehicle to measure, monitor, and manage the cargo and available cargo capacity within the container. According to one embodiment, a method for measuring cargo capacity and monitoring cargo within a cargo container can comprise reading, by a monitoring system of the cargo container, a plurality of spatial sensors installed within the cargo container. The plurality of spatial sensors can comprise, for example, one or more light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensors. An interior of the cargo container can be mapped based on reading the plurality of spatial sensors and available cargo capacity within the cargo container can be determined based on the mapping of the interior of the cargo container. The determined available cargo capacity within the cargo container can be transmitted from the monitoring system to a cloud-based cargo management system.

Abstract: Images that depict delivery locations associated with a customer may be captured or obtained. One or more classifiers may be utilized to detect and/or identify scene attributes that are depicted in the images and that are associated with the delivery location. One or more correlations between the scene attributes and delivery attributes associated with the delivery location may be determined and used to generate one or more scores for the delivery location. The correlation(s) and/or the score(s) may be utilized to determine delivery instructions that facilitate the delivery of items and/or packages to the delivery location.

Abstract: Implementations are directed to receiving delivery order data for delivery of the tangible asset, the delivery order data including a unique identifier associated with a mobile device of a recipient, receiving evidence data from the mobile device of the recipient, providing an order record stored in a distributed ledger system, the order record including at least a portion of the delivery order data, and the evidence data, determining that the tangible asset is to be handed over to the recipient, and in response: collecting delivery evidence data, providing the delivery evidence data for comparison to the evidence data, and receiving a validation result based on the comparison, and selectively indicating that the tangible asset has been handed over to the recipient at least partially based on the validation result, and updating the order record stored in the distributed ledger system.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing a social graph maintained by an online social network, the social graph including nodes and edges connecting the nodes, each edge representing a relationship between two of the nodes. The method also includes receiving an indication that a first user of the online social network has interacted with a content object posted by a second user of the online social network, wherein the content object is associated with a first entity. The method also includes accessing user data associated with the first user and entity data associated with the first entity. In response to receiving the indication, the method identifies one or more prompts based on the user data and the entity data. Finally, at least one of the prompts is sent to a client device of the first user for display.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide check-in services to mobile devices using a check-in enabled network. When the mobile computer device attempts to access the check-in enabled network, a connection is established between the mobile computer device and the check-in enabled network. Check-in information is passed between the mobile computer device and the check-in enabled network to check in a user of the mobile computer device to an entity providing the check-in enabled network. The method may also include determining whether any additional actions are available to provide to the mobile device via the check-in enabled network, when an additional action is available, presenting the additional action to the user via the mobile device, and receiving input from the mobile device to take the additional action. Many additional actions may be available and are disclosed herein. The user's personal information may be protected while providing financial transactions with the system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a subscription travel service. The systems and methods include operations for determining a geographical location of a user of a subscription-based travel service; searching a list of travel services that are available for the user to consume on a travel date to identify candidate travel services; computing a likelihood of consumption value for the user based on transportation criteria associated with arriving at a given travel service in the list of travel services from the geographical location of the user; determining that the likelihood of consumption value for the user is less than a threshold; increasing a travel cost value associated with the given travel service in response to determining that the likelihood of consumption value is less than the threshold; and generating, for display in a graphical user interface to the user, an interactive visual representation of the given travel service.

Abstract: Navigation data to a first location on a delivery route for a first delivery is sent to a navigation components of a delivery vehicle. Upon receipt of a notification that the first delivery to the first location is canceled, the availability of a backup delivery is determined. The location of each of a pre-determined set of potential buyers is compared to the current location of the delivery vehicle, and in real-time, a consumption of resources is calculated for a backup delivery and the return the one or more items to a designated return location. A determination of whether the backup delivery to a particular potential buyer is favorable as compared to the return the one or more items to the designated return location and, if favorable, navigational instructions are transmitted in real-time to the delivery vehicle to deliver the one or more items to the particular potential buyer.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and products for dynamically selecting carriers in a shipping management system are disclosed. In one embodiment, in response to a user requesting a new shipment, a shipping management system collects shipping information from a plurality of carriers. The system provides the user with a choice of carriers to ship the new shipment based on selection rules. In response to the choice of carriers provided to the user, the user can select one of the carriers to execute the new shipment. The shipping management system can send a signal to the computer system of the chosen carrier to execute the new shipment.

Abstract: There is provided systems and methods for intelligent adjustment of shipping data based on past cubing tendencies. A user may access a service provider to request generation of shipping labels for one or more future packages to be shipped. The user may provide shipping data required to generate the labels, including a value for each label that is used to purchase shipping services using the label when the label is affixed or associated with a package. The provider may review past shipping data for the user and/or similar packages, and may determine whether the entered shipping data accurately estimates the user's shipping needs. If the past shipping data indicates that the user may require different shipping needs, such as additional value, the provider may adjust the value. Any over or under charge may then be refunded to the user on actual shipping of the package.

Abstract: A system comprises a delivery entity operating to deliver a package at a predetermined time from a first person to a second person and to provide an electronic communication between the first person and the second person that is commensurate with the delivery. An electronic display for displays a first message of the electronic communication from the first person to the second person commensurate with the predetermined time of the delivery of the package to the second person and a transmitter configured to generate and output a second message of the electronic communication generated by the second person during delivery of the package and in response to the displayed first message. An exception handling device controls the delivery entity when an unexpected event disrupts the commensurate delivery with the electronic communication, and generates and outputs instructions to the delivery entity to change the predetermined delivery time to a new delivery time.
