  • Patent number: 9845869
Abstract: A mechanical oil pump, an electric oil pump, and a strainer are disposed inside a transmission case. As a suction oil passage that returns an excess hydraulic pressure in a hydraulic control device to the mechanical oil pump, a common oil passage extending from the hydraulic control device, a branch point, a first oil passage extending from the branch point to the mechanical oil pump, and a second oil passage extending from the branch point to the electric oil pump are formed in the transmission case. A meeting point where an inlet oil passage for suctioning oil via the strainer and the first oil passage of the suction oil passage meet is formed inside a pump body of the mechanical oil pump. Accordingly, the suction oil passage of the mechanical oil pump and an inlet oil passage of the electric oil pump have a portion in common.

  • Patent number: 9838219
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and network device for providing VLAN mismatch detection in networks. Specifically, a network device monitors a plurality of packets received by a first device from a second device to identify a first set of VLAN identifiers indicated by at least one of the plurality of packets. The network device receives from a third device at least one packet tagged with a particular VLAN identifier, whereas the at least one packet to be forwarded by the first device to the second device. The network device then determines whether the particular VLAN identifier is included in the first set of VLAN identifiers indicated by at least one of the plurality of packets received by the first device from the second device. If the particular VLAN identifier is not included in the first set of VLAN identifiers, the network device presents a notification.

  • Patent number: 9835139
Abstract: In order to maximize cooling while minimizing drag in aerial vehicles of airborne wind turbines, it may be preferable to dissipate the cooling energy of the motors via a radiator in a region with advantageous airflow parameters. Aerial vehicle rotors operating in thrust mode may produce relatively more airflow velocity in certain regions further away from the center of the rotor blades, both radially and longitudinally. Placing a radiator in a rotor-supporting pylon and offset from the center of the rotor blades and aft of the rotor blades may allow for greater cooling while the aerial vehicle while in thrust mode.

  • Patent number: 9832122
Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods may be used to monitor data flows and to select and track particularly large data flows. A method of tracking data flows and identifying large-data (“elephant”) flows comprises extracting fields from a packet of data to construct a flow key, computing a hash value on the flow key to provide a hashed flow signature, entering and/or comparing the hashed flow signature with entries in a flow hash table. Each hash table entry includes a byte count for a respective flow. When the byte count for a flow exceeds a threshold value, the flow is added to a large-data flow (“elephant”) table and the flow is then tracked in the large-data flow table.

  • Patent number: 9816632
Abstract: An actuated valve system operates (open/close) automatically under overpressure condition. The system includes an on/off valve assembly, a spring actuator assembly configured to actuate the on/off valve assembly to open or close a path for the pressurized fluid, a lock mechanism with one locking yoke and two rotatable locking handles, a collapsible pin type pressure sensing assembly configured to trigger the action of the spring actuator assembly, and a pressure sensing line. The collapsible pin type pressure sensing assembly includes a body, a plunger with two stems, one of which is rigidly connected with the locking yoke, and a collapsible pin, which mechanically fails when the fluid pressure reaches the predetermined level. When the collapsible pin fails, the plunger moves together with the locking yoke, and the locking yoke loses its restriction to the motive element of the spring actuator assembly, and thus trigger the operation of the actuated valve system.

  • Patent number: 9819449
Abstract: A source node selects a plurality of original data components to transfer to at least one destination node. A plurality of transmitting nodes cooperatively encodes the original data components to generate a plurality of subspace coded components and a corresponding code matrix. Each of the transmitting nodes transmits a subset of the plurality of subspace coded components and corresponding code matrix, wherein at least one of the transmitting nodes has a rank that is insufficient for decoding the plurality of subspace coded components. A destination node may employ a plurality of receiving nodes to cooperatively receive a plurality of subspace coded components and their corresponding code vectors, wherein the rank of at least one of the receiving nodes is insufficient for decoding the subspace coded components. The destination node builds up the dimension of the subspace spanned by code vectors it collects from the receiving nodes and then decodes the subspace coded components.

  • Patent number: 9810360
Abstract: A coaxial coupling 10 includes a female coupling half 50 and a male coupling half 130. The coupling 10 is used in a hydraulic circuit 100 that includes a multistage hydraulic pump 101 and a hydraulic machine 102. The coupling is used in the circuit 100 to connect components when the pump is running. The coupling halves have a disconnected configuration (FIG. 1), a connection initiation configuration (FIG. 2), and a fully connected configuration (FIG. 3). Coupling half 50 includes a manually actuated restrictor 1 that signals the pump 101 to move to a low flow condition independently of load demand from the machine 102 in the connection initiation configuration. This reduces the forces required to move the coupling halves from the connection initiation configuration to the fully connected configuration.
