Abstract: A computerized method of allowing insurance customers to purchase travel medical insurance or other foreign medical insurance, based on user age, sex, and various user designed risk scenarios, and receive information on the payout amounts that various insurance plans will deliver based upon these factors. In one embodiment, a method for allowing customers who are unfamiliar with the medical cost structure of a foreign country to be informed both as to the costs of medical treatment in that country, and the benefits that a variety of foreign coverage medical insurance plans will provide under these user risk scenarios. These plans may then be evaluated according to different user selected parameters. The method can be implemented using computerized servers and client devices communicating using standard internet protocols over the internet.

Abstract: The system and method described herein may be used to forecast realized volatility via wavelets and non-linear dynamics. In particular, a volatility time series that includes daily volatility values associated with a security may be decomposed into wavelets via multi-resolution analysis and dynamical properties associated with the individual wavelets may be analyzed to identify deterministic and non-deterministic wavelets and produce a volatility forecast derived from a fit computed on the deterministic wavelets. For example, the wavelets may be analyzed to discover time delay, Theiler, and embedding dimension values associated therewith, which may be used to project volatility values associated with each wavelet. The projected volatility values associated with each wavelet may then be summed to produce a volatility forecast associated with the security.

Abstract: Described is a system including a memory arrangement and a processor for graphically representing in a space data representing at least one portfolio. The memory arrangement stores a Multi-Criteria Financial Optimization (“MCFO”). The processor solves the MCFO to generate data corresponding to a set of portfolios. The processor selects vertex points corresponding to a set of components of the portfolios. The processor defines coordinates of the vertices on a chart and plots the vertices as points on the chart. The processor defining a projection vector-function using coordinates of the vertices and selecting a subset of the portfolios on the chart. The processor computing coordinates for the portfolios in the subset using the projection vector-function and a weighting corresponding to the portfolios. The processor plotting points corresponding to the portfolios in the subset on the chart using the computed coordinates.

Abstract: A system for tracking telephone calls made in response to advertising campaigns in electronic or other media is provided. The system permits an advertiser to associate specific and distinct telephone numbers with associated advertising campaigns. The system further modifies advertiser-provided information in response to the advertising campaign to which a potential customer responds, and includes the associated telephone number in the modified advertiser information. The system processes telephone calls made to the selected telephone numbers, and provides reports to advertisers of call data associated with the respective advertising campaigns.

Abstract: A system and method for prioritized data delivery in an electronic trading environment are described herein. According to one example embodiment, by prioritizing the messages associated with a tradeable object, the bandwidth and system resource usage may be optimally reduced, and any loss of priority content in the messages sent between the network device and the client device may be reduced. An example method includes associating different priority levels with messages comprising market data. Messages containing market information related to the inside market may be associated to a higher priority level. Whereas messages containing market information relating to the quantities at prices outside the inside market may be associated with a lower priority level. Based on the priority level associated with a message, a network device may send the message directly to the client device or store the message in a data structure until a pre-defined condition is satisfied.

Certain embodiments of the present inventions utilize various techniques for determining the liquidity of one or more legs. Certain embodiments provide for selecting a leg to quote based on the determined liquidity. Certain embodiments provide a configuration interface for specifying techniques to be used in determining a liquidity value for a particular tradeable object. Certain embodiments provide for liquidity indicators being presented in various user interfaces.

A financial institution may obtain property data from public records regarding a property associated with a customer. The retrieved property data may be compared with existing customer data. The customer may be alerted and financial data associated with the customer may be modified based on the retrieved property data. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for increasing the conversion rate, or the ratio of the number of actual buyers to the number of site visitors, of an computer-implemented system such as an Internet e-commerce website. Shopping cart abandonment may be reduced though the disclosed method wherein filler items are suggested to the consumer in order to qualify the consumer for a promotional bonus, such as free shipping. By simplifying the consumer's task of selecting filler items, the consumer may be more likely to consummate the sale instead of abandoning the shopping cart to find a better deal elsewhere. In the event no suitable filler items can be identified, alternative promotions may be presented to the consumer, for example, reduced rate shipping.

Abstract: A method for distributing advertisement data to display terminal devices from a distribution server via a relay server. The relay server receives status notifications of the display terminal devices and transmits a tenor of receipt of the status notifications to the display terminal devices. The distribution server receiving status notifications and transmits the tenor of receipt of the status notifications to the relay server. The distribution server determines whether the reproduction schedule of the advertisement data has been changed and transmits a notification on a change. If the distribution server receives a request for acquisition of the as-changed reproduction schedule, the distribution server sends the as-changed reproduction schedule to the relay server. If the relay server determines that the reproduction schedule acquired from the distribution server has been changed, the relay server transmits the notification on the change of the reproduction schedule.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for interacting with a virtual world being displayed on a video display are described. The virtual world includes user selectable tagged images. The tagged images are related to an asset and can include a redemption feature that can be used when acquiring the asset. A user interacting with a game console can select the tagged images. Upon selection of the tagged image the game console can communicate information related to the tagged image, the related asset and/or the redemption feature to a mobile device. The tagged images can also be associated with distribution rules that can be evaluated to determine when and to whom to distribute digital coupons associated with the tagged images.

The settlement contract comprises a sale of a policyholder's death benefit in a life insurance policy in exchange for money. A first settlement contract that comprises information matching the at least one queried field is retrieved. A plurality of potential purchasers received communication that the first settlement contract is available for purchase. During a pre-determined period of time, a plurality of bids for the first settlement contract is received. Each of the plurality of bids comprises a bid price. It is determined that a first bidder has submitted a best bid price for the settlement contract. The first bidder and the policyholder are notified of an agreement to sell the first settlement contract at the best bid price.

A data layer descriptor repository stores customizable data source descriptions for generating the data layer. The data layer is generated from the customizable descriptors in the data layer descriptor repository. The data layer module receives the data source independent business data requests and based on the request, the data layer implements a data source specific method for fulfilling the request by accessing data in the business data repository.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, an automated computer implemented method for detecting one or more data compromises comprises the steps of detecting an activity indicative of a data compromise based at least in part on a compromise detection report involving at least one of merchant compromise report, region compromise report and acquirer compromise report, wherein the compromise detection report is generated by an automated detection algorithm; classifying the activity based on a combination of risk level, size of data compromise and fraud severity; and identifying a specific mitigation response to the activity through an interface. Another embodiment of the present invention determines whether one or more accounts associated with the activity have been probed or tested by a fraudster to determine if the one or more accounts are valid.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing secure access of at least one of multiple financial account processors to a mobile device and/or facilitating secure financial transactions initiated from a mobile device via a gateway. One method can include receiving a mobile personal identification number (M-PIN) number and Customer Unique Identifier (CUID) from a mobile device and processing the received M-PIN and CUID to identify a Mobile Unique Identifier (MUID). The MUID identifies an account of at least one financial account processor accessible via a gateway, and the mobile device is provided access to the account through the gateway.

In response to the mail piece being processes by a postal authority, a transmission from the postal authority containing a scanned image of the mail piece is received. The recipient is then sent a notification that the item has been mailed, and the notification includes the free-form description of the item and access to the scanned image.

Abstract: Methods and systems for exchanging various forms of value, including coins, currency, credit, debit, and/or bank account funds, for prepaid cash cards, credit cards, phone cards, and the like. In one embodiment, a value exchange machine includes a coin input region, a coin sorting/counting apparatus, a card reader, and a communications facility configured to communicate with a remote computer network. In another embodiment, a value exchange system includes one or more of the value exchange machines connected to one or more remote computers via a communications link. A user wishing to purchase, for example, a prepaid cash card can visit one of the value exchange machines, select the desired transaction, and pay for the card with coins, currency, a credit card, a debit card, and/or bank account funds. After confirming payment, the value exchange machine dispenses the card to the user.
