Abstract: An indication is received from a wireless device in communication with a first communication system using a first radio access technology that the wireless device has detected a second communication system using a second access technology. Network information of the first communication system is provided and stored at the wireless device when performing a first handover of the wireless device from the first communication system to the second communication system. The network information is provided to the first communication system to perform a second handover from the second communication system to the first communication system.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for correcting error events associated with identity provisioning. In one embodiment, repeated requests for access control clients are responded to with the execution of a provisioning feedback mechanism which is intended to prevent the unintentional (or even intentional) over-consumption or waste of network resources via the delivery of an excessive amount of access control clients. These provisioning feedback mechanisms include rate-limiting algorithms and/or methodologies which place a cost on the user. Apparatus for implementing the aforementioned provisioning feedback mechanisms are also disclosed and include specialized user equipment and/or network side equipment such as a subscriber identity module provisioning server (SPS).
Abstract: A location sharing system and related processes across computer networks are provided that efficiently utilize resources by adjusting location determination techniques at client devices. A rule-based architecture including user-based heuristics facilitates location determination that is accurate while optimizing resource consumption. Current interest in or other behavior associated with a target user or requesting user can be used in selecting a location determination protocol at the client device. An accurate portrayal of a user's location can be provided efficiently by correlating interest to utilize more accurate but larger resource-intensive components when interest is higher and to utilize less accurate but lower resource-intensive components when interest is lower.
Abstract: A method and apparatus provide access to communication services using dynamically assigned user credentials. The method includes establishing a communication connection with a first communication network (such as GSM, UMTS, CDMA, or LTE networks) using a real user credential (e.g., a SIM, a USIM, or an R-UIM card or certificates) in a first communication module, utilizing the first communication connection to request the dynamically assigned user credential from a remote management system, and registering a second communication module into the second communication network. The second communication connection is then tethered to allow other devices to access the Internet or other network.

Abstract: An auxiliary content delivery gateway. The gateway comprises a processor, a non-transitory memory, and an application stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor the application creates auxiliary content request messages comprising a collaborator mediation indication based on requests for auxiliary content received from a plurality of mobile communication devices and transmits the auxiliary content request messages to a plurality of auxiliary content sourcing channels, whereby the auxiliary content sourcing channels discern that the auxiliary content request messages do not constitute click-fraud based on the collaborator mediation indication in the auxiliary content request messages. The application further receives auxiliary content response messages from the plurality of auxiliary content sourcing channels and transmits selected auxiliary content to the mobile communication devices based on the auxiliary content response messages.
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle (AV) can include a communication system to communicate with a backend system, a sensor system to collect sensor data representing an operational environment of the AV, and a control system that can processes the sensor data to (i) perform a localization operation to determine a location and an orientation of the AV within a given region, and (ii) autonomously operate the AV's acceleration, braking, and steering system throughout the given region. Based on the localization operation, the AV can implement a set of configuration commands to configure the communication system to transmit and receive data with the backend system using a number of specified network nodes.
Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods mitigate interference in heterogeneous networks. Embodiments include adaptive or selective inter-cell interference coordination, adaptive multi-user zero forcing, adaptive power, and/or combinations of the foregoing. Techniques may be used to favor one group of users (e.g., femto users or macro users) over another. Certain embodiments focus quality of service (QoS) improvements on a first group of users, while using constraint processes to provide a threshold QoS for a second group of users.

Abstract: A telecommunication method for a user equipment roaming to a visited network is provided. A local network provides a telecommunication service to a user corresponding to the user equipment. In the telecommunication method, a service is started on the user equipment. According to the started service, the user equipment transmits an access point name query to the visited network. According to the access point name query, the visited network performs an authority check procedure with the local network on the user. When the user passes the authority check procedure, the visited network delivers an access point name corresponding to the service to the user equipment and the user equipment starts the service through the access point name.
