  • Patent number: 10067546
Abstract: A wireless power delivery system includes a wireless power source and a control module. The wireless power source provides power to an information handling system. The control module is in communication with the wireless power source, and is configured to detect a presence signal from the information handling system, to set an output power level for the information handling system based on the presence signal, to receive a signal from the information handling system, and to adjust the output power level based on the signal.

  • Patent number: 10060955
Abstract: A processing system includes one or more power supply monitors (PSMs) to measure one or more first voltages corresponding to one or more locations in the processing system. The measurements are performed concurrently with the processing system executing one or more code loops. The processing system also includes calibration logic to modify a second voltage provided to the processing system based on a comparison of a reference voltage and the one or more first voltages. The reference voltage is determined based on previous execution of the one or more code loops by the processing system.

  • Patent number: 10057074
Abstract: A power over Ethernet method where power sourcing equipment (PSE) detects and determines that a first set of cable pairs and a second set of cable pairs of an Ethernet twisted pair are connected to a valid powered device (PD), the PSE receives a link layer discovery protocol data unit (LLDPDU) from the PD, where the LLDPDU includes a load quantity type-length-value (TLV) used to notify a quantity of PD loads included in the PD, and when the PD receives power from both the first set of cable pairs and the second set of cable pairs, and the PD includes two PD interfaces, and the PD includes two PD loads, the PSE supplies power to the PD at a first power using the first set of cable pairs, and supplies power to the PD at a second power using the second set of cable pairs.

  • Patent number: 9904341
Abstract: A method and system for cascading power consumption is described herein. The method may include providing power to a first sensor and a second sensor, wherein the first sensor consumes more power than the second sensor. The method may also include detecting the first sensor does not capture a sample of data. In addition, the method may include stopping the flow of power to the first sensor. Furthermore, the method may include monitoring an operating environment with the second sensor. The method may also include providing power to the first sensor in response to the second sensor detecting a sample of data.

  • Patent number: 5784010
Abstract: A data encoding method and apparatus are provided for implementing a predefined rate code, such as a 16/17 rate code for a data detection channel in a direct access storage device. A binary data stream is received and sequential symbols of the received binary data stream are identified. Sequential alternate symbols of the binary data stream are encoded into first codewords. Sequential alternate other symbols are encoded into second codewords. The alternating first and second codewords are sequentially combined. For a rate 16/17 rate code, the first codewords include 9-bit codewords and the second codewords include 8-bit codewords. The second 8-bit codewords are either raw symbols of the received binary data stream or remapped symbols of the received binary data stream. All likely error events are limited to within three consecutive bytes in a user data stream with a 16/17 rate code of the preferred embodiment.
