  • Patent number: 8752509
Abstract: The A-Z Livestock Training Rope is a humane, effective animal training and handling apparatus which teaches leading, tying, trailer loading, ground manners, cinch and saddle pressure, pressure on reins, stops rearing-up and bucking, and is a safer alternative to standard drag lines. It consists of a rope attached to a ring looped around the animal's barrel then passed through the halter. As the operator applies pressure to the end of the rope, the loop tightens around the barrel which exerts pressure on the animal. When the animal yields to the direction of the operator, the rope slacks and the pressure is relieved. As this action is repeated, the animal will learn to yield without the need for pressure on the rope.

  • Patent number: 8733741
Abstract: A cattle grid comprising a first group of fixed bars (12) that are spaced apart with gaps therebetween and a second group of bars (20) that are movable between a lower position and an upper position. With the bars of the cattle grid in a first configuration, the second group of bars (20) are in the lower position, such that the upper portions of the bars of the second group (20) are lower than the upper portions of the bars of the first group (12), whereby gaps are defined between the bars of the first group to provide a barrier to the passage of animals. When the set of bars are in a second configuration, the second group of bars (20) are in the upper position such that the second group of bars (20) intermeshes with the first group of bars (12) so that the bars of the second group (20) occupy the gaps between the bars of the first group (12) to allow passage of animals across the bars.

  • Patent number: 8733295
Abstract: An animal water toy that includes one or more playthings carried by flowing water that entices an animal, such as a cat, into interaction therewith. Playthings can be received in a container having water drinkable by the animal that is propelled by a pump into flowing and carrying the playthings. A portion can be upraised above the water providing an animal perch and/or flow director imparting flow deviations causing unpredictable plaything movement helping enhance animal interaction. A conveyance device can be provided conveying playthings relative to the flow. A pet watering device, e.g., fountain, can include an animal toy constructed in accordance with the present invention and a conveyance device lifting playthings from one level of the watering device to another. In one embodiment, playthings are animal attractant objects that can be buoyant and configured to attract an animal, such as by its color, graphics, indicia, and/or shape.
