  • Patent number: 8230808
Abstract: A pet food dispenser has a container, a bottom lid and a receiving plate. The bottom lid is covered on a bottom opening of the container and has multiple through holes. The receiving plate is connected to the bottom lid. A gap is formed between the receiving plate and the bottom lid. The pet foods in the container drop out from the through holes of the bottom lid. Because the receiving plate collects dropped pet food, only some pet food is released for the pets to eat. The pets need to push the pet food dispenser to topple and roll so that more and more pet food is released. Therefore, the pet food dispenser efficiently leads the pets to move more by using food to attract the pets.

  • Patent number: 8225748
Abstract: This invention is to be used primarily in the reception and disposal of urination from animals within a set area. It is comprised of a base tray, a vertical, hollow cylinder and absorbent pads designed and crafted to securely cover the exterior of the cylinder and tray. The absorbent pads are contained within the hollow cylinder and removed through an opening at the top of the cylinder. The vertical aspect of the invention attracts animals to urinate as per their instinct similar to an animal urinating on a bush or fire hydrant. The soiled absorbent pad is removed and another clean pad will take its place after being removed from the interior of the cylinder through the top opening in the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 8220415
Abstract: An imaging system that allows for unhindered access to a sample to be imaged. A housing structure is configured with a drawer having a platform. The platform may be configured to hold a sample, such as an animal, and/or the platform may be configured to mate with a sample holding member, such as a removable carrying tray for holding the sample. The drawer presents the platform to an imaging device or system internal to the housing when in a closed, or imaging, state. When in an extended state, the drawer presents the platform external to the housing to allow unobstructed manipulation of a sample on the drawer platform (or on the sample holding member on the platform). When used, a sample holding member such as a removable carrying tray may be docked with the drawer platform, and various interconnects, such as gas ports and electrical connectors, on the sample holding member engage with corresponding elements on the platform when docked.

  • Patent number: 8196334
Abstract: A net-mouth inclined trawl-net apparatus includes a substantially rectangular frame and a trawl net attached to the frame. The trawl net is formed of an upper net, a lower net, and a pair of side nets, and the trawl net has a shape formed of a body part of a quadrangular trapezoid shape. Each of the side nets attached to the frame has a longer side and a shorter side as an upper side and a lower side, and a side of each side net defining a net-mouth edge defines a side-net front edge inclination angle relative to a bottom side of an isosceles trapezoid having the shorter side of the side net as a side of the isosceles trapezoid, so that the frame autonomously maintains an inclination angle relative to the vertical axis due to a flow resistance and a lift acting on the net.

  • Patent number: 8181381
Abstract: This compact flexible stand-up fish fighting harness set (Harness Set) embodies various adjustable straps, belts and other connections which are either directly attached to a rigid fishing rod gimbal receiver with flexible upper leg supports, or to the fishing reel lugs. Harness Set unites angler and fishing rod and reel rig (Rig) when they are under pulling stress of fighting a large game fish (Fish). Harness Set frees angler's arms, hands and lower back from pulling on fishing rod while drawing on angler's greater legs strength of quadriceps muscles and body weight to leverage said fishing rod. Harness Set differs from other harness and gimbal receiver designs in several significant features. Contoured and cushioned leg supports conform to angler's thighs, but are sufficiently flexible to enable an angler to walk sideways (to follow Fish) while maintaining great pressure against Fish. Leg supports are angularly adjustable on the gimbal receiver base to comfortably match angler's stature and stance.

  • Patent number: 8156683
Abstract: A system and method of detecting and signaling the activation of a spring-loaded rat trap located at a remote location. The system includes a wireless transmitter mounted inside a transmitter unit upon which a spring loaded rat trap is placed. When a rat is caught by the trap, the rat drags the trap over the top surface of the transmitter unit causing activation of one or more switches located on the top surface. The switch is coupled to the wireless transmitter that sends a signal to a wireless receiving unit located in the vicinity. Coupled to the receiving unit is a light or sound alarm that is activated when a signal is received from the transmitter unit indicating that the trap has been moved over the transmitter unit. The system may be used with one or more transmitter units so that system may be used to monitor rat infestation one or multiple locations.

  • Patent number: 8156682
Abstract: A frog lure device imitating life-like swimming action. The device has a diving “collar” disposed around an upper region of the lure body which causes the lure body to dive. Concurrent with the diving action, the lure has a kicking action such when given a single pull followed by a rest, the frog lure responds by diving from a surface region of the water to a depth beneath the surface region, straightening its legs as it moves forward and as the lure comes to rest, the legs retract. The collar forms a trail of bubbles and a vortex behind it. The pair of legs has a suitable length to not become trapped in the vortex, such that the legs straighten out to cause a kicking action and also provide stability to the lure as it accelerates through the water. The frog lure device can also be crawled across surface vegetation.
