  • Patent number: 11243995
Abstract: A method includes accessing an audiovisual composition comprising a target video segment and a source video segment. The method also includes, in response to presence of the target video segment and the source video segment in the audiovisual composition: accessing a first keyword associated with the source video segment; and calculating a first relevance score for the first keyword relative to the target video segment based on a temporal position of the source video segment in the audiovisual composition and a temporal position of the target video segment in the audiovisual composition; accessing a textual query comprising the first keyword. The method additionally includes: generating a first query result based on the textual query, the first query result comprising the target video segment based on the first relevance score; and at a native composition application, rendering a representation of the first query result.

  • Patent number: 11238088
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for creating step-based answers from multimedia content are provided. The method receives a search query including a set of search terms. A set of question characteristics is determined for the search query. The set of question characteristics are based in part on the set of search terms. The method generates a set of steps for an answer to the search query. The set of steps are generated based in part on the set of question characteristics. The method identifies media content relevant to the set of steps and segments the media content to generate a set of media segments. Each media segment of the set of media segments represent a portion of the media content. The method combines the set of media segments based on the set of steps to generate a media answer to the search query.

  • Patent number: 11226981
Abstract: The store merge apparatus is provided with a processor and a storage storing a plurality of entries that include a plurality of blocks and entry merge state information that represents, for each group into which the plurality of entries are divided, the state of merge in the plurality of entries, the plurality of entries and the entry merge state information being stored in correlation with each other. The processor executes a merge process for storing data in an entry on the basis of a store command to a storage apparatus and updates the entry merge state information associated with a group that includes entries to be merged. The processor preferentially selects, on the basis of the entry merge state information, a group that includes a merge-completed entry in which the data is stored in all blocks, preferentially selects a merge-completed entry from the selected group.

  • Patent number: 11221987
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for electronic communication and file reference association. In an example, a file reference may refer to file content stored by a file service. The file reference may be used to share the file content in an electronic communication among a plurality of users. The file reference may be identified within the electronic communication, and may be used to generate a file node. The file node may store information relating to the file content and/or file reference. A message node associated with the electronic communication may be created, which may be associated with the file node. The file node may later be used to identify electronic communications relating to the file reference. Thus, electronic communications relating to the file reference may be accessible to a user using the file reference or by searching, rather than manually identifying related electronic communications.

  • Patent number: 11210331
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, facilitate cross-platform content muting. Methods include detecting a request from a user to remove, from a user interface, a media item that is provided by a first content source and presented on a first platform. One or more tags that represent the media item are determined. These tags, which indicate that the user removed the media item represented by the one or more tags from presentation on the first platform, are stored in a storage device. Subsequently, content provided by a second content source (different from the first content source) on a second platform (different from the first platform) is prevented from being presented. This content is prevented from being presented based on a tag representing the content matching the one or more tags stored in the storage device.

  • Patent number: 11182395
Abstract: A given query entity of a query database and a set of reference entities from a master database are accessed; each entity accessed corresponds to an entry in a respective database, which is mapped to a set of words that are decomposed into tokens. For each reference entity, a closest token is identified therein for each token of the given query entity, via a given string metric. A number of closest tokens are thus respectively associated with highest scores of similarity between tokens of the query entity and tokens of each reference entity. An entity similarity score is computed based on said highest scores. A reference entity of the master database is identified, which is closest to said given query entity, based on the entity similarity score. Records of the given query entity are linked to records of the master database, based on the closest reference entity identified.

  • Patent number: 11170032
Abstract: An e-commerce voice response determination system is provided and generally includes a server and a customer computing device. The server may determine, based on a user query, a plurality of product descriptions. The server may determine a similarity value between the user query and each of the product descriptions based on the similarity between each word of the user query and each word of the product descriptions. The server may determine the product description with the most similarity to the user query, and provide a response to the customer computing device based on that product description. In some embodiments, the server may determine whether the user query matches a predefined query. If the user query matches the predefined query, the server provides a response to the customer computing device based on a predefined response to the predefined query.

  • Patent number: 11163790
Abstract: A bubble is displayed in a visualization that is based on a number of distinct values pertaining to the concept and on a number of records in the dataset including at least one of the distinct values pertaining to the concept. Furthermore, the dataset includes records from one or more databases organized into a concept hierarchy. The bubble includes, for a level of the concept hierarchy, a plurality of indicators each representing one of the distinct values at the level of the concept hierarchy. An interaction with the bubble visualization is received. Responsive to receiving the interaction, the bubble visualization is updated by adjusting the bubble to include a radial bar graph representative of a relative quantity of each distinct value of the concept represented by the bubble at each indicator of the plurality of indicators.

  • Patent number: 11151209
Abstract: A social networking system recommends objects, such as pages, of the social networking system to users of the social networking system based on the location of the user. The social networking system obtains location information identifying the location of the user. Based on the location of the user, the social networking system identifies levels of geographical partitions encompassing the location of the user. For each level of geographical partitions, the social networking system accesses relevant objects of the social networking system with connections to users located within the level of geographical partitions. The social networking system may have determined a term frequency-inverse document frequency (tf-idf) value for each relevant object. Based on the number of connections and the tf-idf value associated with each relevant object, the social networking system merges the relevant objects accessed at each level into a set of relevant objects to recommend to the user.

  • Patent number: 11132384
Abstract: A multi-column index is generated based on an interleaving of data bits for selectivity for efficient processing of data in a relational database system. Two or more columns may be identified for inclusion in the multi-column index for a relational database table. Based, at least in part, on the interleaving of data bits for selectivity from the identified columns, a multi-column index is generated for the relational database table that provides a respective index value for each entry in the relational database table. The entries of the relational database table may then be stored according to the index values of the multi-column index.

  • Patent number: 11086897
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that facilitates the processing of network data. During operation, the system causes for display a graphical user interface (GUI) for obtaining configuration information for configuring the generation of time-series event data from network packets captured by one or more remote capture agents. Next, the system causes for display, in the GUI, a first set of user-interface elements comprising event stream information for one or more ephemeral event streams used to temporarily generate the time-series event data from the network packets. The system then causes for display, in the GUI, a mechanism for navigating between the event stream information and creation information for one or more creators of the one or more ephemeral event streams.

  • Patent number: 11086895
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for loading and transforming data to a cloud database, using a hybrid set-based extract, load, transform approach. During the loading and transforming of large amounts of data, from one or more data sources, a data synchronization application sends small batches of data, in parallel streams, to the database, which operates as a transformation engine to load the data. Each stream can be associated with a separate staging table in the database. For each staging table, the subset of data therein is transformed and loaded, before the next subset is processed. A transform and merge process operating at the database can then be used to transform and merge the data, from each of the staging tables, to the target table.
