  • Patent number: 9949120
Abstract: This application discloses a data transfer method for transferring information concerning a service set associated with a communication network. An electronic device obtains a plurality of data packets that comply with a specific data format corresponding to a network access protocol, and each data packet includes a respective header that further includes at least one data field. A service set identifier (SSID) data set is arranged in the at least one data field of the plurality of data packets according to a link layer data structure. The SSID data set at least includes a SSID and a SSID password, and identifies a wireless network that transmits the plurality of data packets and is accessible when the SSID password is verified. The data packets that include the SSID data set are encrypted, and to a receiver device that is communicatively coupled to the electronic device via the identified wireless network.

  • Patent number: 8804478
Abstract: The present invention relates to a data transceiving method in a communication system based on a plurality of carriers, and more particularly, to a method of designing a sequence in a communication system using orthogonal subcarriers. The present invention includes the steps of generating a time-domain sequence with a specific length in a time domain, generating a frequency-domain sequence by performing a DFT or FFT operation on the time-domain sequence according to a length of the generated sequence, including a DC subcarrier and a guard subcarrier in the frequency-domain sequence, and performing an IDFT or IFFT operation on the frequency-domain sequence including the DC subcarrier and the guard subcarrier.

  • Patent number: 8654639
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing a flow control mechanism in a wireless network are described. In order to force a transmitting station to implement a rate adaptation mechanism, in which speed is traded off for reliability, a receiver within a receiving station behaves as if the radio conditions were degraded. This may be implemented when defined criteria are met, such as when the available buffer space falls below a threshold, and for some or all types of frames. In an embodiment, when the criteria are met, the receiver does not acknowledge frames received at one or more higher data rates.

  • Patent number: 8284798
Abstract: Provided is a communications interface system. The communications interface system includes one or more protocol modules configured to include interface protocols that facilitate direct communication between a switching subsystem, a physical layer subsystem, and a Power over Ethernet subsystem. The protocol modules are connectable to a communications bus, the direct communication occurring across the communications bus in accordance with the protocols.
