Abstract: Screen content associated with a first communication device is presented on a screen associated with a second communication device with minimal processing of the screen content by the first communication device. Screen content associated with the first communication device that is to be presented on the screen associated with a second communication device is identified. The first communication device determines whether the identified content requires complex processing for presentation on the screen associated with the second communication device. If the identified content requires complex processing for presentation on the screen associated with the second communication device, the first communication device sends a representation of the identified content to the second communication device, and the second communication device accesses and processes the identified content for presentation on the screen associated with the second communication device.

  • Patent number: 9405377
Abstract: In many computing scenarios, a device comprises at least one sensor, and is configured to recognize a gesture performed by a user according to the sensor output of the sensor, and to perform a particular action upon recognizing the gesture. However, many devices are preconfigured with such gestures, and the recognition is specific to the sensors of the device, and is not specific to the manner in which a particular user performs the gesture. Presented herein are techniques for enabling a device to recognize a new gesture by monitoring the sensor output of any sensors provided by the device while the user performs the gesture, optionally requesting repeated gesture performances until reaching a recognition confidence. Once trained to recognize the gesture according to the sensor outputs of the particular sensors of the device, the device may subsequently recognize the gesture performed by the user and execute an associated action.

  • Patent number: 9401113
Abstract: According to various embodiments of the invention, gamma curves for multiple pixel groups can be calibrated using look-up tables or by using reference voltage groups provided by gamma voltage generators so that the pixels can display multiple images with correct gray levels at different view angles. Therefore, color shift can be avoided or lessened without necessarily using extra circuitry on the display panel. Also, any related light transmittance or light utilization efficiency reduction may be decreased or eliminated.
