  • Patent number: 11856458
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards providing 5G zero touch traffic management of cells in a network. A target cell associated with a network objective is identified. One or more neighbor cells are also identified. Transmit power and tilt capabilities of the target cell are determined. An interference between the target cell and the one or more neighbor cells is also determined. An electrical antenna tilt adjustment or a transmit power adjustment is determined for the target cell to apply based on the transmit power capabilities, the tilt capabilities, the interference, and the network objective. The determined electrical antenna tilt adjustment or the determined transmit power adjustment are then provided to the target cell. If the network objective is met after the target cell applies the electrical antenna tilt adjustment or the determined transmit power adjustment, then the changes are confirmed, otherwise they are reversed.

  • Patent number: 11848747
Abstract: A communications system may include a satellite and user equipment (UE) devices. When the UE devices have uplink (UL) packets to transmit, each UE device may randomly select a time slot within a finite time window associated with a time reference of the satellite. The UE device may identify a path length between itself and the satellite and may generate a timing advance based on the path length, the time reference, and the time slot. The satellite may begin to receive the UL packets within the time window and may search received signals over the time window to identify the UL packets. The satellite may recover data payloads from the identified UL packets and may pass the recovered data payloads up a protocol stack. By limiting the search to the time window, the satellite may correctly distinguish the UL packets while using a minimal amount of processing resources.

  • Patent number: 11844026
Abstract: A wireless device receives a grant indicating radio resources for transmission of a transport block via a first cell. The radio resources overlap in time with a configured transmission of a preamble via a second cell. a transmission power of one of the preamble or the transport block is adjusted based on a power priority of the preamble. The power priority of the preamble is: higher than a power priority of the transport block based on the second cell being a primary cell; and lower than the power priority of the transport block based on the second cell being a secondary cell. The transport block is transmitted via the radio resources.

  • Patent number: 11843983
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically re-directing a wireless communication deice to improve spectral efficiency, load balancing, and battery life. The system comprises at least a first node and a second node that are each configured to communicate with one or more devices in a service area. The system receives an indication that a first device is connected to the first node and then receives a real-time buffer status report for the first UE which indicates how much data is being transmitted by the device. Based on determining that the real-time buffer status of the device is below a predetermined buffer status report threshold, the system dynamically re-directs the device to disconnect from the first node and connect to the second node.

  • Patent number: 11831358
Abstract: Systems and methods for setting a carrier-sensing mechanism in a PLC node are disclosed. In a PLC standard, coexistence is achieved by having the nodes detect a common preamble and backing off by a Coexistence InterFrame Space (cEIFS) time period to help the node to avoid interfering with the other technologies. In one embodiment, a PHY primitive is sent from the PHY to the MAC know that there has been a preamble detection. A two-level indication may be used—one indication after receiving the preamble and other indication after decoding the entire frame. The MAC sets the carrier-sensing mechanism based on the preamble detection.

  • Patent number: 11824696
Abstract: Messages are transmitted in closely-spaced subcarriers in 5G and 6G, configured so that each subcarrier signal is orthogonal to the adjacent subcarrier signals. However, many effects can penetrate that orthogonality—distortion, interference, frequency variations, amplitude variations, crosstalk, etc.—collectively termed energy spill-over. To combat this problem, a receiver can determine the total energy spill-over into adjacent subcarriers by measuring a residual signal in a subcarrier with no transmission, adjacent to another subcarrier with a known transmission. The receiver can measure the amplitude, phase, temporal or spectral properties, and so forth of the residual signal. The receiver can then correct the message during signal processing, by calculating a function of the residual signal and subtracting it from each digitized subcarrier signal of a message.

  • Patent number: 11825469
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for cancellation and/or replacement of PUSCHs. A user equipment device (UE) may configure a first PUSCH and a second PUSCH, where the first PUSCH may correspond to a configured grant and where the second PUSCH may correspond to a configured grant or scheduled by a PDCCH on a serving cell. The UE may determine that at least one transmission occasion associated with the first PUSCH overlaps in time with at least one transmission occasion associated with the second PUSCH. The UE may drop transmissions scheduled for the second PUSCH, e.g., based on determining that a priority of the first PUSCH is higher than a priority of the second PUSCH, e.g., starting with a first symbol of a repetition of the second PUSCH which overlaps in time with one or more repetitions of the first PUSCH.

  • Patent number: 11811558
Abstract: A network interface controller (NIC) associated with a virtual machine (VM) in a cloud computing network is configured to be flexibly attached and detached from a parent NIC to thereby enable the virtual machine to simultaneously be attached to multiple different virtual networks (VNets) and/or subnets that are associated with the same or different subscriptions. The inventive NIC, referred to herein as a flexibly extensible NIC (eNIC), enables a service provider to inject compute instances into an existing VNet using a multi-homing configuration in which the data plane uses a dedicated network interface to connect the customer's VNet, while another dedicated network interface provides management plane connectivity to the service provider. Such multi-VNet homing advantageously provides data plane isolation for the customer's VNet to comply with applicable security policies without disrupting management traffic between the injected resources and the service provider.

  • Patent number: 11804983
Abstract: One embodiment provides a system which facilitates scaling of routing in an EVPN. During operation, the system determines, in an Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN), a plurality of virtual tunnel endpoints (VTEPs) coupled to a plurality of subnets, wherein a respective subnet includes one or more hosts, wherein a first VTEP is configured with a first number of host routes for a first subnet coupled to a second VTEP, and wherein each of the first number of host routes corresponds to a host residing in the first subnet. Responsive to detecting that a total number of routes configured on the first VTEP exceeds a first predetermined threshold, the system aggregates the first number of host routes by replacing the first number of host routes with a first prefix route which indicates the first subnet.
