  • Patent number: 11820136
Abstract: Although a conventional method of inspecting an ink discharge state in which the temperature change of the heater is detected enables accurate and high-speed inspection, due to the situation in which the inspection was performed, appropriate post-processing depending on the situation cannot be executed based on a result of the inspection. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the ink discharge state in detail. A plurality of modes are provided in accordance with the purpose of performing an inspection of the ink discharge state, and a discharge inspection threshold is provided for each of these modes. By selectively executing or continuously executing these modes, it is possible to determine the ink discharge state in more detail.

  • Patent number: 11813844
Abstract: A method is disclosed to provide a DTS machine that is simple to operate and can through human operator control provide economic and competitive throughput speeds as compared to more complex DTS machines utilizing multiple printing tunnels and material handlers. The present method repositions a print carriage and a reconfigures an inkjet printhead bank to accommodate different sizes and shapes of media. The allows for the printing of a single piece of media in a single each printing event, but maintains a printing throughput similar to DTS machines having the capability to print media in parallel printing events. Media is moved from a media loading area on the machine by a single operator into a printing tunnel and then the operator adjusts the angle of the media relative to a reconfigurable array of ink-heads to meet inkjet expression distance requirements.

  • Patent number: 11791018
Abstract: Described is a system for automatically identifying chemical properties of a molecule. A chemical representation of a molecular structure is converted into atomic features and an adjacency matrix. The atomic features and the adjacency matrix are processed with a neural network, resulting in neural activations corresponding to each atom in the molecular structure. The system determines a probability for each atom quantifying its relevance for a given chemical characteristic. The probabilities are displayed as a graphical representation on the molecular structure, and groups of atoms are identified for the given chemical characteristic from the graphical representation. The identified groups of atoms for the given chemical characteristic are stored in a database, and a new molecule having the given chemical characteristic is designed based on the stored identified groups of atoms.
