  • Patent number: 5277605
Abstract: The electrical connector of the present invention includes an electrically conductive sleeve having a passage therethrough and an elastomeric housing molded therearound. After the molding of the housing around the sleeve, contact element is disposed within the passage of the sleeve for engagement with the contact member of another connector. An arc snuffer housing and arc snuffer are attached to one end of the contact element for guiding the contact member toward the contact element and for evolving an arc-quenching gas in response to an arc being struck between the contact member and the contact element. The contact element includes a piston member responsive to the evolved gas for jointly displacing within said passage the arc snuffer and contact element toward the contact member. A support member is provided within the sleeve for reciprocably supporting the piston member of the contact element.

  • Patent number: 4686774
Abstract: From a composition of a fine powder and water, a fine powder minimally susceptible of agglomeration is obtained by a method which comprises adding to the composition of a fine powder and water a water-insoluble organic solvent at least in an amount enough for consequently forming an azeotropic composition with respect to the amount of the water involved, converting the resulting mixed liquid into a W/O type emulsion, and removing the water and the organic solvent from the emulsion.

  • Patent number: 4000563
Abstract: The invention relates to a chain of modules constructed to sequentially dry plastic particles each module comprises a mixing chamber having a trough formed therein, the trough having side walls inclined to the horizontal and a slot extending along the bottom thereof. The slot is covered by a grating to permit passage of air into the mixing chamber but to prevent particulate material from falling out of the trough through the slot. A pressure chamber is constructed immediately below the trough in the body portion of the module and means, are provided for delivering air to the pressure chamber thereby causing a stream of air to be forced upward into the mixing chamber through the slot in the trough. Each module is tilted to provide a flow of plastic particles through the trough.
