The method includes inserting a bristle tuft (21) into an opening (51) in a retention element (52). A proximal end of the bristle tuft (23) and a proximal side (53) of the retention element are laser welded to at least partially melt the bristle tuft and at least a portion of the proximal side of the retention element together to create a merged proximal end head portion (26) that holds the welded tuft assembly together.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus and related system is disclosed where the cleaning apparatus includes a one or more grabber that is actuated by a one or more slider such that the cleaning apparatus is moveable between a closed position and an open position. By moving the cleaning apparatus into the open position, a user is able to place the apparatus over a pad. Moving the apparatus into a closed position while over the pad causes the grabber to pinch the pad to the base, thereby securing it to the apparatus. When the user wishes to discard the pad, the apparatus is moved from the closed position to the open position, releasing the pad.
Abstract: An oral care implement including a handle and a replacement head that is detachably coupled to the handle. The oral care implement may include a handle having a longitudinal axis that includes a gripping portion and a stem extending from the gripping portion. The gripping portion may have a shoulder that circumferentially surrounds the stem and an annular rib protruding from the shoulder. The replacement head may have a sleeve portion terminating in a proximal edge that is formed from a resilient material. The replacement head may be detachably coupled to the handle so that the annular rib of the shoulder and the proximal edge of the sleeve portion that is formed of elastomeric material are in contact with one another.

Abstract: A drain cleaning device includes a power unit and a drum assembly coupled to the power unit for rotation by the power unit. The method includes molding a tuft carrier (50) having at least one retention element (52) that are positioned relative to a handling plate (101). Excess material (59) may be removed from the tuft carrier. The retention elements are loaded into recesses of the handling plate. A bristle tuft (21) comprised of a plurality of bristles (22) is inserted into the opening (51) of each retention element. A proximal end (23) of each bristle tuft (21) is bonded together with at least a portion of the proximal side (53) of each corresponding retention element (52) to form a merged proximal end head portion (26) that secures the bristle tufts and retention elements together as a plurality of merged tuft assemblies (20). A platen (42) of a neck (40) is positioned in relation to the merged tuft assemblies using a cavity in a base plate. A matrix material (30) is overmolded to at least partially encompass the platen and the merged tuft assemblies and form the brush head.

The handle portion has a head portion, and each pet engageable portion is secured to the head portion. Abstract: The combination of a dust pan and a broom for cleaning surfaces without the need for a person to bend during use, including a dust pan having a receptacle for receiving and collecting debris, and a lifting strap extends over the receptacle. A broom is also provided having bristles and an upper section having a hook mounted thereon. In use, the hook is used to engage the strap to lift the dust pan having debris in it without the person having to bend their back or knees to lift up and lower the dust pan during use. Abstract: A whip head tool for cleaning ducts has passageways that hold filaments, such as thermoplastic monofilaments. A straight passageway has a reduced diameter portion which is a choke or pinch point, to deform locally a filament that is pushed through the passageway. A V shape passageway has a choke or pinch point which is the apex, also to deform locally a filament. The ends of a filament extend from the passageway openings and the choking or pinching frictionally holds the filament from flying out of the passageway when the user rotates the tool for use.
Abstract: A back and shoulder cleansing machine for a shower wall is disclosed. The device mounts to the wall using suction cups and is connected to the shower head water supply for dispensing water and soap from the brush body. Additionally, the brush body rotates and also has a pair of elevated brushes extending from the main device. The elevated brushes are also configured to have a swiveling motion and are then used to wash a person's shoulders. Additionally, the main body includes a refillable soup revivor which is accessed from a top end of the main body. Excess water from within the main body is then dispensed from a release valve at the bottom end of the main body.
