Abstract: A hip mounted tethered ball game wherein a bracket provided with apparatus to attach it to the hip region of a person, holds one end of a line in an extended position from the person's hip region. A ball is tethered to the opposite end of the line in a free swinging fashion. The object of the game is to rotate the tethered ball in vertical circles about its point of attachment to the bracket by utilizing hip movement. The tether line is readily adjusted in length for different swing radii.
Abstract: A game apparatus having a pair of tiltable platforms mounted upon a base with a stationary goal section positioned between the two platforms. A tortuous path or maze is provided in the surface of each of the platforms along which a ball may roll. Players stand upon the platform and manipulate the same by shifting their weight to cause the ball to traverse the maze and at the conclusion of the maze to enter the goal section, If desired, four platforms may be provided disposed at 90.degree. displaced positions around the goal sections thereby allowing up to four players to simultaneously play the game.
Abstract: An archery target having a backstop provided with markings representing a game animal, and the like, for forming a target area on the backstop. By constructing the backstop as a rectangular parallelepiped, markings can be provided on a pair of parallel faces in order to afford a choice of targets and to reduce wear on the backstop. The latter is enhanced by including in the markings designation of areas which are the primary target area in the animal, and by offsetting these designated areas from one another. The backstop is anchored at a desired location by a pair of rods extending through holes provided in the backstop and inserted into the ground or other support surface. An elastic element stretched between the rods above the backstop holds the backstop firmly in place relative to the internal frame formed by the rods.
Abstract: A competitive pneumatic game to be played by two persons includes a straight section of rigid, transparent tubing having compressible air bellows secured to its opposite ends and a projectile disposed within the tubing for movement therealong by air pressure in the tube. Associated with each of the bellows is a scoring indicator actuable when the projectile strikes it. The object of the game is for one player to force the projectile, by skillful manipulation of his bellows against the manipulation by his opponent of his bellows, to strike the scoring indicator at the opponent's end of the tubing.
