Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to a method and system for oil and gas predictive analytics. A computer system receives a set of production information for a well located in a region. The computing system generates a set of general reference groups comprising one or more reference wells for the region. The computing system determines whether the set of production information for the well includes the threshold amount of production information. The computing system selects a subset of reference wells from the general reference groups based on one or more traits of the well. The computing system generates a reference curve based on the set of production information associated with each reference well in the subset of reference wells. The computing system fits a decline curve to the reference curve, to determine an estimated ultimate recovery of the well.

Abstract: A main electrical cabling is subject to variations in ambient temperature over its length. A detection system for detecting a fault in the main electrical cabling able to cause a serial arc, or heating within a connection, includes a monitor electrical cabling placed alongside the main electrical cabling and a controllable current generator injecting, at the input of the monitor electrical cable, a current proportional to the current flowing through the main electrical cabling. The main and monitor sets of electrical cabling being joined at the output, an electronic circuitry measures the difference between the electrical potential at the input of the main electrical cabling and that at the input of the monitor electrical cabling and detects a fault in the main electrical cabling when the difference of the electrical potentials exceeds a predefined threshold. A fault in the main electrical cabling is detected despite the variations in temperature.

  • Patent number: 10121210
Abstract: During operation, an electronic device monitors data associated with different power states received from another electronic device via an interface circuit. Using the monitored data, the electronic device calculates a time duration that the other electronic device is in an active operating mode. Moreover, the electronic device determines power states of the other electronic device based on the calculated time duration and/or a time duration between times when data is received. Next, the electronic device calculates the power-consumption history of the other electronic device based on the determined power states and at least a model of power consumption in different power states of the other electronic device. By calculating the power-consumption history of the other electronic device, the electronic device may significantly improve the accuracy of a power-usage model for the other electronic device.

  • Patent number: 10030993
Abstract: A filter processes acceleration magnitude signals from an accelerometer device to output spectral content related to walking and running. A device containing the accelerometer determines steps by qualitatively analyzing the processed acceleration signals to determine whether increased acceleration magnitude results from a step impact from running or walking activity. The device may analyze the acceleration signals to determine crossings of an axis at zero magnitude, which crossings typically correspond to a person's foot impacting the ground, and may analyze the period between the zero crossings. The step count can indicate whether the device, in a height determination mode, is moving in a vehicle; if analysis of accelerometer signals indicates no stepping or running, but another circuit of the device indicates rapid movement, the device assumes it is moving in a vehicle, and resets a height above ground value to zero upon determining resumption of walking or running activity.

  • Patent number: 10012572
Abstract: Provided is a technique for using an optical microscope image of an area on a sample to collect area-specific information characterizing each kind of biological tissue from imaging mass analysis data. On an optical image of a two-dimensional target area on a sample, a difference is examined in the kind of tissue or other features and areas are specified, each regarded as the same kind of tissue. When data processing is initiated, peak information is extracted, for each specified area, from mass spectrum data of all the measurement points. A peak method is applied to each area to extract peak information. Then, when a command to compare a set of areas is given, the peak information of those areas is collected. By comparing the peak information of different areas by a machine learning algorithm or similar judging technique, area-specific peak information is obtained, and this information is stored in memory.
