Abstract: A beverage container holder includes first and second beverage container receivers which may be stacked one above the other when stored and also are stacked when positioned in one configuration for use. The container receivers are pivoted about a common upright, most preferably vertical, axis. The upper container receiver includes a rim which defines an opening through which a beverage container may be inserted. The lower receiver defines a recess with a base. The lower receiver may be positioned beneath the upper receiver when in use, in which case the base limits the extent to which a container may be inserted through the rim. The lower receiver includes an upper portion of a first cross-sectional dimension and a lower portion of a smaller cross-sectional dimension, such as sized to receive a standard twelve ounce soda pop container. When in a non-stacked position, the upper receiver is capable of receiving a large beverage container without interference by the lower receiver.

Abstract: A portable computer holder is adjustably mounted on a base portion that is attachable to the floor of a vehicle and is provided with a means for heating the portable computer when the computer is positioned in the holder. The heated holder effectively solves the problem of maintaining a portable computer at an operable temperature in cold environments.

Abstract: A portable carport having a frame, a flexible fabric cover, and mechanisms for attaching the frame to the outsides of the wheels of an automobile. Because the frame is secured to the outsides of the wheels rather than beneath the wheels, the frame can be easily attached to the automobile after the automobile is parked. The frame is adjustable for height, width, and length, and can be adapted to cover as much of the car as desired. The wheel attachment mechanisms are also adjustable to fit any size tire. Because of the adjustable features of the invention, it can be used to protect larger vehicles such as trucks, bolts, and mobile homes.

Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly kit comprising a thermometer having a circular cylindrical groove attached at its rear side and which is open across an angle of less than 180.degree., and a holding device having a circular cylindrical member which can be pushed into the groove and is located on a web aligned, in terms of its longitudinal extension, off-center of the opening of the groove. Depending on requirements, the holding device can thereby be arranged in two different positions (180.degree. offset), making it possible to twist the thermometer through 180.degree. in total, i.e. through 90.degree. in one direction and through 90.degree. in the other direction.

The adaptors and devices of the invention include devices for engaging various table lamps and utilitarian objects, including table lamps having clip-on lamp shades and European standard table lamps, to extend the visual benefits of decorative finials beyond the application of a single finial atop an American standard table lamp.

Abstract: The present invention is for an improved stand (2) typically of the music variety. The improvements consist of a stabilizing cam (10) and a compact, centrally located, adjustable position memory element (16). The stabilizing cam (10) may be used in a variety of structures to micro adjust the level of the stand (2) to provide better support and stability. The adjustable position memory element (16) may be used on a variety of devices as well including an articulable support stand such that the support stand can be returned upon reuse to a preselected position from a plurality of preselected available positions.

Abstract: A clip for supporting a portable camera either on a surface or on an edge of a housing, and for protecting the lens of the camera when the camera is not being supported. The clip provides two axis of rotation to position the camera to any desired viewing angle. The clip may be rotated to a first position to support the camera on a surface of a table or desk. The clip may be rotated to a second position to support the camera on the display screen of a laptop computer. When the camera is not being supported in the first position or the second position, the camera may be rotated to be releasably held by the clip to protect the camera and lens during storage.

Abstract: A hydraulic antivibration support comprising first and second rigid strength members (1, 2) in the form of a plate, and a bell-shaped elastomer body (3, 4) interconnecting the two rigid strength members and forming a working chamber (A) therebetween, and a compensation chamber (B) connected to the working chamber via a narrow channel (C) filled with liquid like the chambers. A hole (13) pierced in the plate is sealed by a flexible decoupling membrane (14) whose periphery is bonded to the rim of the hole by vulcanization.

Abstract: A mobile telephone hanging device which includes a base plate, a clamping plate hinged to the base plate for fastening it to the user's belt, a hanging plate fixedly secured to the mobile telephone and having a grooved hanging rod for fastening to the base plate, the base plate having a smoothly curved rib for hanging the hanging rod of the hanging plate and an elongated movable plate for stopping the hanging rod of the hanging plate in the engaged position, and two push rods controlled to release the elongated movable plate from the hanging rod of the hanging plate for permitting the hanging plate to be disconnected from the base plate.

Abstract: A removably attachable hook strap for holding auxiliary luggage which comprises a strap having two ends, one end comprising a means for removably attaching to a main piece of luggage, a rigid hook having a distal and a proximal end, the proximal end being joined to the other end of the strap, a member having a first and second end, the first end being fixed to the proximal end of the rigid hook and a means for detachably fastening the second end of the member to the distal end of the rigid hook.

Abstract: A combination structure of a container and a base covering wherein the container is a metal container susceptible to rust and is provided with a flexible cup-shaped and completely imperforate covering on the lower portion thereof which covering includes a lower portion extending across the base of the container wall and upwardly into the recess provided therein so as to avoid interference with the normal upright positioning of the container and covering combination yet still provide for a scratch proof and rust preventing covering therefore.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pen holder for holding a pen of variable diameter in a vertical or horizontal position, where the insertion part is rotatable against the base for convenient use. The present invention comprises a base and an insertion part, which is vertically rotatably mounted on the base and is made of two halves, the two halves being glidable against each other and, being pressed against each other by two springs, holding the pen in between in a vertical or a horizontal channel.

Abstract: A trench shield stacking bracket provided for facilitating the stacking of trench shields. The trench shield stacking bracket comprises an elongate hollow body frame which defines a pair of spaced apart trench shield spreader bar engaging Wall having upper and lower portions. The trench shield spreader bar engaging walls define upwardly opening trench shield spreader bar engaging slots in the upper portions thereof. The trench shield spreader bar engaging walls define downwardly opening trench shield spreader bar engaging slots in the lower portions thereof in opposed spaced apart register with the upwardly opening trench shield spreader bar engaging slots. Means are provided to selectively retain trench shield spreader bars selectively positioned within the upper and lower spreader bar engaging slots-during trench shield stacking operations.

Abstract: A fail safe hold open telescoping rod movable from a retracted to an extended position. A locking member coacts with telescoping tubes of the rod to allow the tubes to be fully extended by pulling the member away from the tubes and locking the same in a retracted position permitting extension of the tubes without need for manually holding the locking member. When the fully extended position is reached, the locking member automatically returns to a lock position holding the tubes in a fully extended position.

Abstract: A suspension device for providing a universally movable support of a pneumatic power tool of the type having a housing (10) with a pistol grip handle (11), and comprises an arc-shaped yoke (31) with a slip member (38) movably guided thereon and connectable to an overhead balancing device. A first end (32) of the yoke (31) is connected to the tool housing (10) by a swivel connection (33, 35) at a location opposite the tool handle (11), and a second end (34) of the yoke (31) is rigidly secured to the rotatable inlet part (20) of a right angle air supply conduit swivel connection (17) to be mounted at the outer end of the tool handle (11), wherein the inlet part (20) of the swivel connection (17) is rotatable in a plane transverse to the longitudinal direction of the tool handle (11).

Abstract: A stubout bracket for positioning and supporting pipes between building supports in a building wall includes a bar which is sized to extend between two building supports in a building wall, and includes at least one notch on a longitudinal side edge of the bar, and first and second crimpable rings located on opposite sides of the notch, whereby a pipe or fitting inserted into the notch can be secured to the bracket by crimping the rings.

Abstract: A support foot for a telecommunications switching cabinet companies a generally planar base member and a support member extending upward from the base member to support the cabinet. The base member includes a plurality of arcuate slots to receive anchor bolts which secure the support foot to the floor. The anchor bolts can be located anywhere within the arcuate slots so that embedded rebar in the floor can be easily avoided.

Abstract: An antenna-mounting structure is disclosed for mounting an antenna to a vertical wall or on a sloped, peaked, or horizontal roof. A primary strut, which is tubular, has a straight, upper portion, a straight, intermediate portion, and a straight, lower portion. The upper portion has an outer, cylindrical surface, circular in cross-section, and is bent at an upper juncture between the upper and intermediate portions and at a lower juncture between the intermediate and lower portions. The upper and intermediate portions generally define an obtuse angle and the intermediate and lower portions generally define an acute angle.

Abstract: A walkway system for roof, truss or elevated workers or the like is attached to a structure, e.g. a building wall of an unfinished building. The system utilizes first and second longitudinally spaced-apart support assemblies for releasable attachment to a top of a building wall. Each assembly presents a depending support bar extending along an exterior surface of a building wall. A horizontal support brace is attached to each depending support bar at selectable positions therealong, the horizontal support brace providing support for overlying boards of a walkway. Attached to the free end of the horizontal support brace is a vertical post having a plurality of vertically spaced-apart brackets thereon for receiving a portion of a plurality of vertically spaced-apart hand rails therein. A series of hook-like brackets are releasably placed along the rails for positioning a reinforcing strut adjacent each hand rail.

Abstract: A rotatable and transferable stanchion assembly includes an elongate body having an upper end portion adapted to receive and secure thereto an accessory, and a lower end portion. A cap is mounted on the lower end portion of the body and has a lower portion with an outer external surface. A location plate, which is fastened to a flat surface, has a socket formed therein shaped for receiving the lower portion of the cap. A stud and bolt assembly secure the cap to the location plate in such a position that the lower portion of the cap is disposed within the socket of the location plate wherein the body and cap are adapted to rotate relative to the location plate. A locking plate of the present invention rotatably locks the elongate body and cap in place with respect to the location plate at a desired angle of rotation.
