    Abstract: A farmed fish tracking and verification system involves introducing biomarkers into a batch of farmed fish, and storing biomarker information in a database. Other information is also stored in the database, such as production information and funding information. Funding information can include information regarding funders who have contributed funds for the production of the fish. The funding information can also include payment instructions for the funders. Once the fish is processed, and a fish product is delivered to a customer, the fish product can be scanned to detect the biomarker information for approval. The database can then be queried using the biomarker information to track and verify information about the fish. Once the fish product is approved and sold to a customer, a portion of the proceeds can be transferred directly to one or more funders accounts based on the payment instructions.
