Abstract: A multi-hook fishing lure for use with soft bait comprising two or more hooks positioned on the same end of a lure body. The hooks comprise a single point and a double point hook. The single point hook is integrally formed with the lure body and lure wire. The double point hook is secured to the lure body by connection with an eyelet formed on a terminal end of the lure wire. The opposing end of the lure wire on the opposite end of the lure body is configured with an eyelet for attaching to a fishing line. Soft bait is secured to both the single and double point hooks for a secure, compact connection allowing the soft bait to flow and move providing the appearance of live bait.

Abstract: A tower opening apparatus is provided that is configured to simplify the opening of a multi-piece, hinged, hydroponic tower. The hydroponic tower opening apparatus utilizes a collection of static and continuously moving components (e.g., motor driven drive rollers, alignment rollers, stationary wedges, longitudinal ramps, etc.) to open a hydroponic tower as it passes through the apparatus. In particular, as the tower is driven through the opening apparatus, the fastener(s) holding the face plate(s) to the tower body is released by a wedge(s). After the fastener(s) is released, the face plate(s) is partially rotated about the tower body, thereby partially opening the tower cavity(s). Next a longitudinal ramp(s) continues to rotate the face plate(s) relative to the tower body, moving the face plate(s) to a fully open position.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for weight measurement of grow towers and/or grow lines with grow towers disposed thereon. In various embodiments, compression type, tension type, and/or beam type load cells may be positioned at various locations within the apparatus to facilitate weight measurement. In one embodiment, a hook, which couples a grow tower to a grow line, includes a tension type load cell disposed between two portions of the hook. The load cell measures force applied thereto which can provide or be translated into a weight measurement.

Abstract: An aircraft can include a frame and a plurality of electrical rotors coupled to the frame. The aircraft can further include a control system physically coupled to the frame and communicatively coupled with each of the plurality of electrical rotors. The control system can be configured to control a speed of each electrical rotor on an individual basis to control a direction of flight of the aircraft. The aircraft can further include an engine coupled to the frame, the engine being configured to combust a combustible fuel to generate thrust.

Abstract: A fishing line weight according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a first tungsten body including a first hole, a first projection and a first groove. A second tungsten body includes a second hole substantially aligned with the first hole, a second projection substantially aligned with the first groove and a second groove substantially aligned with the first projection. A copper pin is disposed in the first hole and the second hole. The first tungsten body is unconnected from the second tungsten body.

Abstract: A waste cartridge in combination with a waste machine or apparatus that maintains waste pads for a pet owner, automatically or manually by removing and sealing soiled pads and waste and then replacing the soiled pad with a clean pad on a pet bed of the machine. The apparatus senses when a pet is using a waste pad portion and when the pet is finished, the machine takes up the soiled portion of the pad and removes and seals the soiled portion of the pad roll and the waste automatically, moving the pad into a repository for later removal and disposal of the waste cartridge when the pad roll is used up and then replacing removed pad with a new waste cartridge. The waste cartridge is comprised of a pad roll and a take-up rod attached to one end of the pad by any means such as a clip, slot or adhesive on the take-up rod.

Abstract: Devices and methods for pest control, including devices useful to place pest control devices at locations of use such as at a crop (e.g., at a branch of a tree), certain embodiments of devices including a capsule and a tether that can become tangled or caught in a tree or other crop location.

Abstract: A urinal for pets, intended for dogs, which can be installed in public roads and in private roads. The purpose of the disclosure is to create an area where animals can urinate in hygienic conditions that prevent the deterioration and poor image of the urban environment, the urinal being retractable and self-cleaning. The urinal can be installed flush with the ground or below the ground and is based on a pair of concentric tubes, one of which is moveable with respect to the other, being at rest in the retracted position, that is, when not in use, while, when in use, one of the tubes for receiving the animal urine is visible. When returned to the rest position, the tube for receiving the animal urine is cleaned by means of a cleaning fluid. In addition, the urinal can be integrated into the surroundings, since it can incorporate a decorative element.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for eradicating insects in both a below ground and above ground environment. The device includes a main shaft having a bore therein and a two-piece clamshell on one end for insertion into the insect bed and on the other end a main body which includes a hand grip and a lever for releasing the gas which is held in a separate gas cylinder. The gas flows through a gas tube from the gas cylinder through the main shaft and then out the clamshell end of the main shaft into an insect bed. Two inert gases are used to displace the air in the insect colony wherein the two inert gases are argon and helium. The argon gas is used for underground applications and the helium gas is used for above ground and underground above grade applications. The two-piece clamshell is used for insertion into the ground where it is opened thereby allowing the gas to escape from the gas tube contained inside the clamshell.

Abstract: The present technology is generally directed to modular grow boxes for growing microgreens and other plants. The modular grow boxes generally include a first modular element having a plate and one or more walls extending therefrom to form a chamber, a second modular element having a platform for supporting a growth medium, and a third modular element that can act as a cover and/or base. The first, second, and third modular elements can be assembled in a first configuration that provides a generally enclosed area for growing plants during a germination phase. The first, second, and third modular elements can also be assembled in a second configuration that provides a partially exposed area for growing plants during a post-germination phase. In some embodiments, the modular grow boxes provide a self-contained, self-watering apparatus that is expected to simplify the process of growing microgreens and other plants.

Abstract: A method for placing a collar around the neck of a horse or other livestock discreetly whereby the horse will not notice the collar as the user approaches. The collar may be squeezed and hidden in the hand of the user as the user approaches the horse. The collar may then be stretched over the horses neck. The collar is made up of a loop that is elastic flexible material connected by a clamp.

Abstract: A device is capable of filtering animal waste with an improved sifting method. The device includes a support bracket, a chamber attached to the support bracket, and a screen filter configured to locate within the chamber when the animal deposits the waste. The chamber has an opening adapted to accommodate the animal to deposit the waste inside the chamber. The chamber is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The screen filter is movable between a third position and a fourth position. The rotation of the chamber and the movement of the screen filter can be independently managed, thus achieving a better result for animal waste handling.

Abstract: A storage compartment arrangement for a vehicle cabin having a storage compartment, housing, closable storage compartment opening, lower compartment section in the housing, and upper compartment section in the housing. The storage compartment opening extends over the structural heights of both compartment sections. Items of luggage can be placed onto a lower horizontal pivoting edge and pushed into the lower compartment section. An upper horizontal pivoting edge is provided onto which items of luggage can be placed and can be pushed into the upper compartment section. The storage compartment opening has an upper opening edge facing an upper side of the upper compartment section and is adjoined by an auxiliary surface extending over the upper compartment section, is at an angle in a range of 10° to 50° to the separating plane, and, as the distance from the upper delimitation increases, encloses an increasing distance from the separating plane.

Abstract: Data is received identifying an interaction by an animal with a communication device, where the communication device includes a plurality of scent elements, each of the plurality of scent elements includes a different respective different scent, and a combination of the scents of the plurality of scent elements produces a combined scent, where the combined scent implements a scent marker, and the interaction is based on the scent marker. A meaning associated with the scent marker is determined based on the interaction. A communication by the animal is determined based on the interaction based on the meaning. Communication data is generated to identify the communication.

Abstract: A milking system configured to milk animals includes at least one milking station, a milk tank, a transport conduit, a valve arrangement, and a cleaning arrangement that includes a delivery arrangement configured to deliver a first liquid into the milk transport conduit and to deliver a second liquid into the milk transport conduit, a pump, a controller configured to control the delivery arrangement, and a detector configured to detect that a delivery of the first liquid into milk transport conduit has ended. The detector is connected to the controller, which is configured, as a response to a signal from the detector that the delivery of the first liquid has ended, to activate the delivery arrangement to deliver the second liquid into the milk transport conduit subsequently to the ending of the delivery of the first liquid while there is a column of first liquid in the milk transport conduit.

Abstract: A litter box comprises a body made of at least one flexible elastomeric material, the body having a wall defining a cavity with a top open end. The wall has four generally upstanding wall portions contouring the cavity. A first wall portion has a first minimum height of 8.0 inches or less, a second wall portion having a second minimum height of 10.0 inches or more and being opposite the first wall portion. Third and fourth wall portions are higher than the first minimum height and the second minimum height, the third and fourth wall portions being on opposite sides of one another and being located between the first wall portion and the second wall portion.

Abstract: A milking apparatus is described that includes a longitudinally extending liner made from a resiliently deformable material. The liner is mounted on a rigid support shell. The liner comprises an outer hood configured to lie over an outer surface of the rigid support shell, and an inner barrel configured to be disposed within the rigid support shell and to define an internal volume. The inner barrel extends in the longitudinal direction away from an opening at a first end of the liner, through which opening an animal teat is insertable into the internal volume. The inner barrel is connected to the outer hood at a plurality of longitudinally extending connection regions on an inner surface of the outer hood. These connections define boundary conditions that limit the deformation of the barrel that encloses the teat can be set by the configuration of the liner itself.
