  • Patent number: 5606340
Abstract: A thin film transistor protection circuit includes a outer short-circuit line formed around a pixel electrode driving thin film transistor on an array substrate, and a discharging thin film transistor having a gate electrode and a current path connected between a wiring line connected to the pixel electrode driving thin film transistor and the outer short-circuit line. The protection circuit further includes a charging circuit for charging the gate electrode of the discharging thin film transistor according to a difference in potential between the conductive and wiring lines.

  • Patent number: 4831369
Abstract: The present invention relates to a video attributes decoder for color or monochrome display in the videotext mode or in the high-resolution alphanumeric mode, with a choice, in the videotext mode, between the alphanumeric and the semigraphic mode. The decoder is made up of a clock circuit (25), a configuration register (23), a character atrributes register (22), a line attributes register (32, 33), an attributes decoding circuit (21) connected to these various registers, a character masking circuit (41), a serializer (40) connected to the masking circuit (41) and to the clock circuit (25), a background inversion circuit (53), a character color control circuit (51) and a background color control circuit (52). The last three circuits are connected at the input to the attribute decoder circuit and at the output to the circuit (50) for multiplexing and controlling the monitor guns. The output (402) of the serializer circuit (40) is transmitted over a dot broadening circuit (54).

  • Patent number: 4821030
Abstract: A computer-based digital oscilloscope includes a touchscreen mechanism for generating output signals indicating when an operator has touched the oscilloscope's screen and identifying a particular touch zone area that the operator has touched from among a plurality of touch zone areas of the screen. A computer which controls display of waveforms and other images on the screen, monitors the touchscreen output signals to determine whether the operator is touching a touch zone and to determine whether a portion of a particular image other than a waveform is displayed on the screen within boundaries of the touch zone.
