  • Patent number: 9215845
Abstract: A processing system for a combine harvester has a tubular rotor housing that concentrically receives a rotor used for threshing and separating crop materials. Concave and separator grate assemblies are arranged side-by-side axially along the processing system. Each grate assembly has laterally spaced apart side rails and a plurality of axial bars spanning the side rails. Each axial bar has a plurality of fingers extending therefrom toward an adjacent axial bar, the fingers defining apertures through which grain may pass. Each axial bar additionally has a plurality of disrupter walls placed between adjacent fingers, wherein an upper edge of each disrupter wall projects above the fingers on the same axial bar such that it is closer to the rotor to disrupt the axial flow of the crop material through the rotor housing.

  • Patent number: 9132534
Abstract: A screwdriver bit is revealed. The screwdriver bit includes a driving portion, a narrow neck portion integrated with and extended from the driving portion, and a working segment integrated with and extended from the narrow neck portion. The narrow neck portion consists of a connection portion, a first tapered transition, and a second tapered transition. The first tapered transition is an arc taper and the second tapered transition is a straight taper. When the screwdriver bit is driven by a power tool and is rotated at high speed, the torsional stress generated is dispersed by the first tapered transition while the second tapered transition is used to reduce torsional stress of the narrow neck portion. Thus the wearing of the screwdriver bit is effectively reduced.

  • Patent number: 9107343
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting grass collection bags to a riding lawn mower includes a mounting assembly fixed to a riding lawn mower frame and a lid assembly for carrying removable grass clippings collection bags. The mounting assembly includes slotted brackets that are adapted to receive transverse base pins that are fixed to the lid assembly. An operator may hang the lid assembly by its transverse base pins on the mounting assembly slotted brackets in a hanging position and then rotate the lid assembly up into a raised, operating position. As the lid assembly is rotated to the raised, operating position, a releasable latch mechanism connected to the mounting assembly receives and captures the lid assembly latch pins. With this grass clippings collection unit, a single operator can install or remove the lid assembly, making it possible to rapidly reconfigure the mower for collecting clippings or for not collecting clippings.

  • Patent number: 9095095
Abstract: A plastic tine for mounting on a support tube of a harvester reel has a generally C-shaped mounting base that snaps onto the backside of the tube and an elongated finger that projects outwardly and normally downwardly from the mounting base. A generally C-shaped clip, oriented reversely to the mounting base, partially surrounds the front side of the support tube and is connected to one leg of the mounting base in such a manner that a free end of the clip can be swung toward and away from a corresponding opposite leg of the mounting base. Interlocking structure on the free end of the clip and corresponding distal end of the mounting base retains the clip in place against the front side of the support tube when the clip is fully installed. A special guard protectively overlies the free end of the mounting clip when it is locked to the mounting base so as to prevent accidental dislodgment by crop materials and residue during field operations.
