The circuit board may include componentry in order to provide for altered signal transmission of the signal lines of the cable such as for signal line termination. The circuit board may include a second edge having a beam having conductive fingers adhered thereto and the circuit board may be inserted within a housing having a shroud protruding therefrom surrounding the beam in order to provide for a male I/O connector electrically connected to conductors of the electrical cable.

    Abstract: An optic module contains a flexible circuit board forming a cable which connects between an optical sub-assembly and a rigid interconnect structure within the optic module. One end of the cable includes lands proximate to through holes for soldered connection to pins which extend from the optical sub-assemblies. At the other end of the cable leads extend across interconnection pads on the surface of the rigid interconnect structure for soldered connection. The top surface of the interconnect pads is 10/90 (Sn/Pb) solder to provide a high temperature soldered joint. Solder flux can not be used because cleaning solvents would contaminate the interconnect structure. An atmosphere of formic acid mixed with nitrogen surrounds the lead and pad and a fluxless solder joint is formed.

    Abstract: An electrical circuit arrangement includes at least three adjacent spaced-apart, elongate parallel conductors. Specifically, a middle conductor has two oppositely facing first and second surfaces. A left conductor has a surface facing the first surface of the middle conductor to define a first electrical coupling. A right conductor has a surface facing the second surface of the middle conductor to define a second electrical coupling. The shape of the facing surfaces between the left conductor and the middle conductor is different from the shape of the facing surfaces between the right conductor and the middle conductor. Therefore, the electrical characteristics of the first electrical coupling is different from the electrical characteristics of the second electrical coupling.

    Abstract: An aerial enclosure for a terminal block and method for installing the terminal block and a cable connected thereto within the enclosure. The enclosure includes a housing that defines an interior region adapted to contain the terminal block. The housing has an open front face and includes a rear wall, and a number of side walls that border the interior region. A cover is connected to the housing and is moveable to either cover or expose the interior region. One side wall of the housing includes a terminal block opening sized to permit insertion therethrough of the terminal block and cable. An entrance cap is adapted to cover the terminal block opening and defines a through passage sized to permit the cable to extend through the through passage. During manufacture, the entrance cap can be installed onto the cable before or after the cable is connected to the terminal block. The entrance cap is attached to the enclosure so that the terminal block opening is covered by the entrance cap.

    Abstract: A terminal for coupling wirings of the present invention is simply constructed, features enhance coupling/assembling operability, and needs decreased space. A terminal body (21) is constituted by a wiring connection portion (22) and an overlapping portion (21). an external wiring is fastened by caulking to the wiring connection portion (22) and is connected thereto. An engaging pawl (26) and an engaging piece (27) are formed on the overlapping portion (23) on both sides of the bolt insertion hole (25). The pair of terminal bodies (21) are turned relative to each other in the circumferential direction of the bolt insertion hold (25) in a state where the overlapping portions (23) are overlapped one upon the other on the back surface side thereof. Then, the engaging pawl (26) rides on the engaging piece (27) of the opposing terminal body, and the engaging pawl (26) and the engaging piece (27) come into engagement with each other.

    Abstract: An electrical line for a well pump has elastomeric supports clamped to the exterior of electrical cable for supporting the cable within coiled tubing. The cable supports have an elastomeric member that swells when contacted with a hydrocarbon liquid. Each expansion member is clamped to the cable exterior by retainers located at the ends. The expansion members are spaced apart longitudinally along the cable, and then the cable is inserted into the coiled tubing. Hydrocarbon liquid is pumped through the coiled tubing to cause the expansion members to swell into frictional engagement with the coiled tubing. The retainers direct the swelling laterally into tight contact with the coiled tubing.

Each passageway has a longitudinally extending opening which opens to an adjacent passageway. Each twisted pair conductor has a cross-sectional envelope area less than a cross-sectional envelope area of the passageway in which the twisted pair is contained.

The planar surface of each bond bar end includes a deflectable jacket skiving member which is deflectably movable from a first position in non-skiving engagement with the jacket of the cable to a second position in skiving engagement with the cable jacket upon the radial contraction of the clamping member. Such arrangement positionally confines and secures the bond bar with respect to the cable.

An insulation material may be disposed about each of the at least three conductors.
