The information includes information relative to an energy variation of the aircraft, the energy variation being expressed by a variable representative of that energy variation. The display device is configured to show, on a viewing screen, an energy variation symbol representative of a current value of the variable. The display device is configured to further show at least one energy variation bound symbol representative of a threshold value of the variable, the threshold value corresponding to an authorized acceleration bound for the aircraft to keep or bring the speed of the aircraft in or toward a predefined usage speed range.

Abstract: The disclosure provides methods and systems for localizing a user interface of a multi-function device, the multi-function device is configured with a default language. The method includes receiving a pre-defined phrase from a user via the user interface of the multi-function device, the phrase is written in a local language of the user. Based on the received phrase, the phrase is analyzed to identify the local language of the user using one or more hand-written recognition techniques. Then, the local language is retrieved for presenting to the user. A language change option is presented to the user based on the identified local language of the user. Thereafter, the user interface is localized by changing the default language of the user interface to the local language. Finally, one or more options are presented to the user in the local language of the user.

Abstract: Techniques for improving a user interface (UI) of an artwork application are described. For example, the artwork application presents a digital canvas, an art tool, and a menu. The menu identifies properties of the art tool. The artwork application receives a selection of some or all of the properties and, in response, generates a UI preview element. The UI preview element is configured to present respective values of the properties on the digital canvas. This presentation includes previewing a value of at least one of the selected properties in a one-to-one ratio on the digital canvas. The artwork application presents the UI preview element on the digital canvas, thereby previewing values of the selected properties. The artwork application receives a user interaction with the presented UI preview and the UI preview element adjusts the values of the properties of the art tool based on the user interaction with the UI preview element.

Abstract: An in-vehicle system is described that initiates a telematics service call via a touch-based user interface. The in-vehicle system includes a telematics unit that supports communications relating to telematics services, an infotainment center, and a touchscreen interface configured to present user-selectable controls for invoking services provided by the infotainment center and the telematics unit. The system further comprises a backup battery configured to supply power, during a disruption of power supply from a primary power supply, to: the touchscreen interface, the telematics unit, and a microphone/speaker providing bi-directional audio communications with providers of telematics services. The system furthermore includes a backup battery mode control configured to sense a disruption of power provided by the primary power supply. In response to the disruption, the mode control activates a low-power operating mode for the touchscreen interface.

In one example, operation include generating a virtual object, generating a reality space including a first display, and presenting the virtual object in the reality space including the first display on a second display. Further operations include tracking a location of the virtual object in the reality space as the virtual object moves through the reality space, updating the presentation of the virtual object on the second display using the tracked location, and presenting the virtual object on the first display when the tracked location of the virtual object coincides with the location of the first display in the reality space.
